Great First Book!

Rich character development is so important to me, particularly in a romance novel. She knocked it out of the park! And the plot line was so different than what I’m used to, while still having aspects we all love to read about. (Oh, no! Only one bed?!) The narration was spot on too. Looking forward to more from this author!

Loved the story and performance!

The story had a slow start, so it took several tries, but I am so glad that I stuck with it. I loved the premise and that kept me listening, and after the first five chapters, I was hooked! I loved the story and the narrator.

I loved these characters. There was personal growth, travel and even a psychic. Read it!

Why did I wait so long to read this?

This is such an incredible story of love, loss, grief, and how to process it all. I cried a lot hearing Paul and Kat’s story, and I related a LOT to Theo and Noelle’s stages of grief that were pictured. This was beautiful, tragic, and perfectly written. The narration was also beautifully performed by Kyla Garcia. I know this is going to become a comfort listen for me!

The story/plot and narrators.

Grief is something I am presently navigating, giving myself permission to mourn, while feeling my daughter’s presence every day.
I felt connected to this character, to her loneliness and feeling lost. When I am able I search through my daughter’s posts, texts, and letters to keep her close. I find words of wisdom sprinkled throughout.

5 STARS!!!!!

This book had me giggling and kicking my feet but also sobbing. Such a beautiful story. It’s hard to believe this is a debut novel. This book is easily one of the best of 2023.

Since the release of this book, I knew I had to read it. I saw nothing but amazing things and it really was as great as people said. It did not disappoint. This book is about Noelle, a struggling photographer who is dealing with the loss of her grandma. She finds a love letter between her grandma and her first true love (who wasn’t her grandpa). Noelle finds out who her grandmas first love was through a TikTok video she’s posted about this letter. Noelle then meets Paul, her grandmas first love, and his grandson Theo, who Noelle went to high school with (what a small world). Noelle is determined to find out about her grandmothers love affair and the rest is history.

I loved this book so much! I’m a sucker for a great love story and this was it. I also had a major love of traveling and photography so I felt like Noelle was me in another life. LOL.
