Publisher's summary

A wedding planner and her grumpy ex must work together to plan a celebrity event in this deliciously spicy and funny novel from the creator of Generation Me.

Ama Torres is an optimistic wedding planner who doesn’t believe in marriage. But weddings? They’re amazing. Elliot Bloom is a brooding florist who hates owning a flower shop…until a certain bright-eyed, donut-loving workaholic shows up at his door.

Once upon a time, they collaborated on events by day, and by night, Ama traced the intricate flower tattoos etched along his body. Then Ama shattered his heart and never spoke to Elliot again.

Now they’re working on an event that could make or break both of their careers—except neither of them has gotten over what happened two years ago. Things are not helped by the two brides, who see the obvious chemistry between Ama and Elliot and are determined to set them up, not knowing their complicated history. But as the wedding takes on a life of its own, Ama and Elliot are about to discover that some things can survive a complete catastrophe . . .

Smart and hilarious, Forget Me Not is about two people giving themselves—and love!—a second chance.

Really good!

Liked this one a lot. I started listening while I was at work and was a little confused at first with the jumps in time. I should've been paying attention 🤣 Narration was good too!

Elliot Bloom lives rent free in my brain!

This book gets 5 stars and SO DOES THE AUDIO 🥺 By far one of my favorites of 2023!

I read a ton of great books right in a row when I had Covid in August, and this is one of those! I still think about Elliot Bloom. He lives rent free in my brain. The best ever. Just... ugh.

OKAY, things I loved:
- This is a second chance romance but you get to know the characters in the present alongside their past. I felt like this was such a different approach to second chance, and it gave me heartburn for both characters in the past as well as the present.
- I'M THIRSTY FOR ELLIOT BLOOM ALWAYS. He's so... quietly protective? Always paying attention? Trying his best? Observant and creative and gruffly lovable. He finds something he loves to do through heartbreak and loss, and he carries a torch for Ama that's just... incredibly sweet. He wants it all with her, if only she wanted it all for herself, too. Also he's quietly a very dirty boy and we all know I live for those men ;)
- Ama is so creative, reflective, and inspiring (especially to me, because I love to be creative, but she's so bold and confident and I wanna be her when I grow up LOL). She holds on to her convictions, except when it comes to her former mentor (and lemme tell you, the end of that relationship was BALLS TO THE WALLS AMAZING). I loved that she wanted to know each of her clients so intimately, because it made her the best wedding planner a girl could ask for.
- The inclusion was a reminder that we're all people just trying to figure out life - with a wedding planner who doesn't believe in forever, a florist who hates flowers, the main focus being an LGBTQIA+ wedding between women with different visions and styles, etc.
- The fact that Ama's mom has been married so many times, and that leads to Ama's disbelief in marriage, yet she's collected all these "step-sibling" friends throughout her life and they show up for her.
- THE FLOWER METAPHORS AND THE TATTOOS (no spoilers, just read the book)
- Donuts. This book had me craving donuts the whole time!

Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton do an amazing job of bringing Ama and Elliot to life in this audiobook! I've devoured it more than once since I first listened in September. The humor and heart in this book is brought to life through their narration. One of my top fave audiobooks of 2023!

Absolutely loved it!!

Very well written. Loved the dual POV with each person designated to either past or present events. Loved the characters from the very beginning and was very invested in their future throughout the story.

Forget Me Not by Julie Soto is 4.5/5 stars!

I listened to the audiobook and DEVOURED IT! Callie Dalton and Teddy Hamilton give perfect performances.

Ama Torres is an up and coming wedding planner working for the clients of her dreams but she’s working closely with a grumpy florist that also happens to be her ex-boyfriend. Ama loves weddings but has a thorny relationship with love and marriage- her mom has been married almost more times than she can count. Being forced to spend time with her ex is bringing up lots of big feelings and things turn complicated fast.
I loved this book so much! Elliot and Ama love each other so deeply, even if they can’t always vocalize it. I SO enjoyed the wedding settings, the beautiful flower descriptions, and the thoughtful support Ama and Elliot gave to each other. Ama is the perfect sunshine to Elliot’s grump. I’m a sucker for a grumpy male character and Elliot delivers tenfold! I will say that the first half of the book was a little slow but imo the back half picks up and totally makes up for the slow start. I can’t wait to read what Julie Soto puts out next!
also— this cover is everything! I’m obsessed and need to buy more flowers stat!!

-second chance romance
-grumpy/sunshine
-witty banter
-forced proximity
-he falls first
-care and comfort
-slow burn
-dual pop
-spicy
