Publisher's summary

An opposites-attract love may be in store for a gruff rancher and a small-town beauty in a brand-new Wyoming Men romance

Jake McGuire has worked hard to earn his success, with holdings that include ranches and a private jet. The only threat to his comfortable existence is the last woman he should ever want. He knows Ida Merridan by reputation only, but the stories he’s heard are enough for him to keep her at arm’s length, until the day fate puts her in his path under circumstances only the most heartless cowboy could ignore. Now, realizing the truth Ida’s been keeping, he’s powerless to give her up.

Twice married and independently wealthy, Ida did nothing to deserve her bad reputation - except choose the wrong husbands. Live and learn in a small town, but after everything life has handed her, she’s in no hurry to make any more mistakes or be anyone’s object of pity. Being rescued by Jake throws a wrench into her plans for a solitary existence when one sizzling kiss leads to another, but her past is catching up with her, and there’s only so much she can do when Jake is determined to prove there are still some heroes left in the West.

The usual Diana Palmer book

Too much repeated dialogue. Todd, please pronounce Bexar the correct way. It’s pronounced Bayer, long a just like bayer aspirin.
Over all, a good story.

Wyoming

Great story as always for Ms Palmer. wasn't crazy about the narrator but this was my first audible book with him.

Good

I was a little confused why, in the previous book they had him with an Australian accent, and in this book, he didn’t have an Australian accent. Love the storyline, looking forward to the next book in the series.

Too little/Too much

While I listened to the entire book, and while it did have potential, the story gave the readers no real thrills. And when it tried the reader was let down. There was just too little actual story. On the other hand there was way too much of the female leads voice. It was a male narrator that could not pull off a female voice and every time she cried or whimpered I wanted to turn it off. It was a bit of a disappointment from an author that I felt usually offers more.

A chore to finish

I kept hoping this book would redeem itself. It never did. The plot was tedious and hardly plausible. The ending was a disappointment with very little satisfaction leaving you feeling exasperated, as if the author decided enough was enough and just ended the story.

Painfully Boring

Not only was it slow and predictable but the details about things were not accurately described. It was hard to listen to the entire book.

No. Just no.

This is the story of a woman with so little self esteem that she can't even accept simple compliment. it seems as if the entire book Revel surround a man who loves her? Actually I'm not even sure what he is there for except to be a foil for her everlasting whining about her lot in life. I was gritting my teeth to it. Perhaps all the stories about finding love in Wyoming have been written, and this one scrapes the bottom of the barrel to find reasons fot love to "occur." Perhapps because this is book 14 or 15 or 17 in a series that should have only been 10 books long. Sigh. I shoukd have returned it.
