My only complaint is that my copy had some issues with the audio quality. There were quite a few spots where the narrator cut out suddenly and then things picked back up.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.

The reason why I didn't give the story more stars is because, as other reviewers have noted, a substantial portion of the book deals with other psychology topics such as dream therapy and complementary techniques. I would have preferred more material on hypnosis and less on these peripheral topics. Perhaps more case studies or more examples of scripts (although there are several scripts already provided in the book). Or maybe some more commentary on hypnosis in various cultures, how hypnosis might complement different styles of medicine moreso than others, or more responses to skeptics who believe hypnosis is a pseudo-science. Or maybe some additional insights about why some people are not able to be self-hypnotized, some are easily self-hypnotized, while others can learn self-hypnosis after lots of practice. Or maybe some more tips and guidance for constructing our own scripts. I suppose I wanted relatively less information about complementary topics such as mind mapping, and relatively more information about hypnosis itself. Having said that, I think it was very helpful to receive information about induction techniques and some hypnosis scripts, and it was super helpful to receive a pdf version of the book. Was a bit disappointed that there were no diagrams of the brain in the pdf, so I could see the various parts of the brain, such as the amygdala, that the author was referring to in the text. (I wish more audiobooks came with pdf files, especially non-fiction books that cite references).
The narration was good, although I think that this is the first time ever that I've substantially slowed down the playback speed (while listening to the final part of the book with the sample scripts, for example). The slower playback speed softened the abruptness of the narrator's tone, made the script flow better to my ears. Something that stood out, and I'm not sure if it was deliberate or not, was the static dissonance sound between each chapter. It was a jarring transition from chapter to chapter, to my ears anyway.

If you are looking for a step by step guide to get your mind back on track or re-script your life then this is the book to get!
Lots of interesting hypnosis techniques to practice to get yourself aligned in an easy to follow way.
I especially enjoyed chapter 8 Dream Therapy!

This amazingly simple guide gives us back that control in our lives over the things hat hinder us from being the people we know we can be.
Instead of being a roadblock, our brains can be retrained become our allies instead.
I’m looking forward to getting started working on personal issues - being more productive and organized, loosing weight or 100 other issues I need to deal with.
Who knows us better then ourselves and these simple techniques can be used in so many ways.
I look forward to using this simple directional personally!
