A practical and gentle guide to navigating the difficult relationships that shape your life, from KC Davis, beloved therapist and bestselling author of How to Keep House While Drowning.

Just as her bestseller How to Keep House While Drowning helped readers rethink their relationship with their home, so Who Deserves Your Love offers a framework for relationships—designed especially for those who feel overwhelmed, sensitive, or stuck.

Navigating family dynamics, friendships, or romantic relationships, can feel impossible. In Who Deserves Your Love, KC Davis guides you with clarity and practicality. This is not a book about cutting people off. Rather, it’s about choosing connection and self-respect.

Inside you’ll find:

- The Relationship Decision Tree—KC’s step-by-step tool.
- Why love can be unconditional, but relationships shouldn’t be.
- Scripts for setting boundaries without guilt.
- Diagrams, and short chapters designed with ADHD and mental health in mind.

Who Deserves Your Love is for anyone who needs to repair a bond, build stronger connections, or let go with grace.

KC Davis has an amazing way of explaining things. This book is so helpful for understanding nuances in relationships, and how to figure what kind of boundaries you need depending on the situation. The narration was great as well. She does an awesome job giving relatable examples, and I feel more confident in my use of boundaries after listening to this. I also love that she isnt moralistic about it. She reminds the listener/ reader of the grey areas and ethical questions.

KC's books are a refreshing, modern take with a gentle and straightforward approach on any topic whether it be housekeeping or relationships. KC's personal experience as well as her career as a therapist with a specialty in addiction recovery informs the compassionate and nuanced approach to relationships that is easy to understand and apply. this book is descriptive, not prescriptive. it will help guide you in tricky issues in all kinds of relationships (familial, platonic and romantic), as well as provide definitions and context for many pop psych terms that have entered into cultural jargon without people truly understanding their meanings. she takes on boundaries in a way I've never heard before and her examples give clarity. she's also a FANTASTIC narrator of her own book. I truly hope this makes it into the hands of many people. it is so needed.
