WOW THE DRAMA

The drama in this book had me on the edge of my seat. This isn't the kind of drama that is angsty so I found it to be really good to have in this book. The problems come from outside the relationship so you wont get that typical third act breakup. I can't really tell if this is slow burn or fast burn because at the begging of the book it felt slow but when they actually started dating it was like setting a match to gasoline. The chemistry was off the charts with this couple and the found family feels in this book was comforting. The male narrator was great with doing both female and male narration. The female narrator was good on the female end but horrible with the male voice. Every time she did the males voice I wished that the male narrator did the entire narration of the book. The story was well developed and didn't feel rushed. I can't think of anything other than the female narrator that I didn't like about this book. Five stars and would recommend to everyone.

Swoony MMC

The plot is great. The MMC works hard to show the FMC how he feels about her & that he’s not going anywhere. I love that there isn’t a third act break up & the book didn’t need one. I keep using my credits for this authors books because she doesn’t use the lazy act 3 break up & still has enough story to tell without having to use one. If there is a book with one I haven’t read it yet. Both narrators were great. The character growth was great also.

well I have to say this book was sizzling some definitely steamy scenes. the book was also very very sweet the male heroin is a very sweet guy hot but sweet and the female well she's adorable it had a good storyline it was definitely one I wanted to continue to listen to straight through didn't want to stop for any reason it was a great lesson and I recommend

My goodness this family was so freaking sweet. I absolutely adored Bridger, Dani and Birdie to pieces and loved seeing them get their happily ever after.

I really enjoyed the suspense plot in this one. We have a few different things going on with her dad, his ex and the fires in town and watching it all come to a head was really fun. I was surprised by a couple of things and loved the twist we got.

The audio was fantastic. Erin Mallon and Sean Masters did such a wonderful job with this audiobook and I loved this listen.

I was so excited when I heard Kristen Proby had a new series releasing, set in Bitterroot Valley, Montana.

When We Burn is the first book in the Blackwells of Montana series and it was everything that I have come to expect from Ms. Proby’s romances.

Dani Lexington and her siblings have not had an easy life thanks to horrific father and although he tried his best, Bridger Blackwell was not able to protect her as much as he wanted too.

Although they had feelings for one another they didn’t act on it. Now Dani has returned and Bridger is a single dad to an adorable
little girl, Birdie.

The connection between our couple was intense and it was obvious that it ran deep. This was an emotional story that at times had me ugly crying.

As danger rears its head will it bring them together or tear them apart?

What follows is an emotional, well written story that will get to you on numerous levels.

If When We Burn is anything to go by, then she is off to a flying start with this new series.

I love all of Kristen Proby books and this is no different for this listen/read and I look forward to the other releases to come

Good, peaceful, HEA, hallmark style story.

This is a good, peaceful, HEA, nothing overly exciting to the story. A palette cleanser, if you will. IMO; a safe easy book. If you’re looking for background noise while multitasking, or running errands with one earbud in, this is the perfect book to listen to.

LOVED!!!

Such an amazing, sweet book!!! And the filthy mouth on the MMC was 🔥🔥🔥🔥. No spoilers but I sobbed at the end, and I haven’t listened to a book in a very long time that has made me cry. I loved it!!

Something was missing

I had a lot of expectations for this one, just because Danny is a sister of Holden. And Holden was the best book of previous series. But something was missing, first more than half book was slow and sometimes a bit confusing. Danny was just sitting in her ass and waiting for Bridger to do everything. Sex scenes was mediocre at best. Not my favorite beginning of the series. The male narrator voice is hot as hell thought

So Dani and Bridger’s relationship is so cute! Love the way they communicate and love each other! Their chemistry and everything is just … gaaaahhh!

The narration was okay. A little slow but thankfully I adjusted it to be a little faster and it worked. The voices fit the characters IMO
