Publisher's summary

Even among the Celtic nations with their noble tradition of bards and story-tellers, the Welsh stand out for the sheer weight and number of their stories. Drawn from many sources including the great book of 'The Mabinogion1, traditional Celtic mythology, and local folklore this collection of tales has been adapted by popular children's author Faye Saxeby and brought to life in an enchantingly warm reading by the lovely Welsh actress Angharad Rees. The Enchanted Land; the Golden Ball; The Three Curses; Before the Sea was Salty; The Fairy Child; The Faithful Hound; The Magic Crook.

bedtime listening for younger children

My 12 year old and I listened to this before bed. Although part of me says it is geared to younger kids, I found it very enjoyable to listen to as a way to wind down. For a tween and older, it is a relaxing listen, as opposed to a book that my son might choose to listen to while traveling or otherwise looking for an absorbing read to pass the time.

If you are a fan of Storynory, both of us found the reader and the pace of the stories very similar.
The narrator was absolutely wonderful and I loved her accent. Just a charming listen!
