Good start

Good little listen. Narration was awesome.
Will Simon have the chops to make it as a shadowhunter? We will just have to wait for the next story to see what happens.

book 1, really??!

5 min into the book I was checking that I hadn't picked up a sequel, as there was tons of references to earlier events. 12min in I could not take it anymore, and the story had started yet. just all the stuff that had happened. Who starts a series with a resume??

Poorly Written

I had watched "Shadowhunters" TV series, and thought I would try the books. This has to be the first time I have found the book to be inferior to the movie or TV series. Awkward writing style. I lost patience almost immediately. It felt like I was reading something written by a not-too-bright middle school student.

Shadow Hunters

Enjoyed reading this book, the reader had the time set from th beginning. Looking forward to next book in the series. Action packed, science fantasy, just enough of a love antagonist interest to keep book from becoming to boring or fixated on it. Plot line moved fast, different enough to wish it didn't end so soon.

Simon

This is the beginning of Simon's school year. This is when he tries to fit in, but cannot due to the fact that everyone thinks he's a warrior. The truth is he feels that he isn't because of the fact that he has demon amnesia. The worst part is he does not remember who he was before the amnesia. He decided to come to Shadowhunter Academy to find his past self, but realizes he is there for another reason, yet that inner reason has not been discovered. He does realize that he has hope, and that's all that matters.
