It was just a random mutation - one of a billion that happen in viruses every day. But this one was different. It exploded out of Somalia and spread across the oceans before anybody thought to look up from their cell phones to see what was going on. The infected breathed the virus into the air around them, spreading it through the cities faster than anyone thought possible. Hospitals were overwhelmed. Police lines crumbled. Quarantine sites disintegrated. Cities started to collapse.

Publisher's Summary
Still grieving a tragic personal loss, Lockey and Nate shift their focus to the task of acquiring resources for their new community’s continuing survival, but something dark is stirring.
An eerie shift in the behaviour of the undead makes Lockey’s apocalypse experience feel personal, and she has no idea why she appears to be the sole target for their murderous rage.
Convinced now that something otherworldly is at play, yet torn by questions she can’t hope to answer, Lockey concentrates her boundless energy towards building a safe home for her new apocalypse family. Such safety is fleeting though, for a new threat is revealed elsewhere in the county, obsessed with dominion over the dwindling number of local survivors.
Investigating this new peril while searching for other survivors - and hoping for answers to the questions that plague her waking hours - Lockey and Nate discover this new threat to their growing community is far more menacing than they could ever imagine...
...as dreams of light and dark commence.

We Will Rise!!!!
😁. First off i was given a free copy and I’m finally here to give my honest review.
I needed to binge listen to book three haha…just had to. But in all honesty this is where really the AUD universe aspects really kick into motion .
Ok so if you are like me and a dan of AUD, then you will most definitely see more than a few subtle similarities though i have no beef with it. It all runs parallel to the main storyline.
More so this series seems more than capable being a stand alone series❤️😁 Lockey is the Bomb haha. And Evil aka Captain Evil or the Dark steps up his game.
You get to answer or find out what happens next from book one and ofc more answers needing answering but if you stay the course i guarantee. By the time you reach the end you just want more. Especially after finishing book three you are left with a sense of satisfaction.
New characters and survivors and as well real bad guys are brought i to motion.
Like the third book, i love how the female narrator did wonders for Lockey and the other characters. Usually i not a fan of female narrators but in this case really well placed. Idk if its Irish but i just had laughs and happiness all the way through.
My only discontent that i may have had or could mention is that book 2 seemed short. Felt like an interlude …. Either way i was satisfied and intrigued.
If for some reason you felt that it was maybe short then i promise book three made it worth while because you get all the feels satisfied.
Mr. Meadows by far has grasped my interest and undivided attention. I just need more… want more. Hell im curious yo find out if for some reason the Flame as in Lockey gets upgraded later on yo the Trinity haha
Either way she definitely gives you that feeling as if she was Adrians Long lost Uk Sister from another mother.
If you aren’t someone who can handle swearing pr insults or the humor, then pls dont sully this book or series. If you read it please keep and open mind and rate it for what its worth. An actual Master piece.
Thank you Mr. Meadows for allowing me to continue enjoying the journey with Lockey in the AUD’s Universe fighting for the light in the darkness.
Knowing that “WE WILL RISE”. !!!

Absolutely outstanding, bring on book 3!
I have been waiting patiently for this to come out on Audible for what seems like ages. I relistened to book 1 in preparation the week before to rev myself up for it. Then the day came, and it did not disappoint...
This is a brilliant story, a great continuation of the series and a perfect platform for the much anticipated 3rd in the series. The characters are developed really well, the pace of the story is outstanding and the plot is gripping. I smashed it in 4 days as I could not put it down.
This series doesn't just add to the AUD universe, it augments it. It's a MUST read/listen for any and all AUD fans.
The ending to this book is just... wow.
Bring on book 3 please, and quickly, Carl Meadows!

Story
A weary Adrian Ring continues his dangerous push to find the missing members of the mythical second Trinity—saviors of mankind from the judgment of the undead. He’s fought those monsters for years now, facing off against unthinkable threats and challenges to his own safety and sanity, and thus far, he’s prevailed. Others around him haven’t been so lucky, but that seems to be his curse. Story
The world crashed to pieces on June 23rd and Adrian Ring wasn't anywhere near ready for it. He had no guns, no food, no friends around, a cat that wanted to slip out the back of the condo and a girlfriend trapped in the heart of the city. This is the story of how he survived. Real, flawed, and raw, Dark Recollections is Adrian's own story of how he survived after "That Day". Told through his eyes as he talks to his laptop, affectionately named "Mr. Journal".

Story
It's the start of summer vacation, and poor Tony has just lost his grandfather. His father is deployed overseas, and his mother is raising him and his little brother all alone. But that's not what's bothering Tony. It's that his nana will be all alone in her small, rural home during the heat of summer, doing the yard work, the laundry, and all the things around the house, while mourning her husband. That won't sit for Tony. With his mother's permission he moves in with Nana for the summer.
