Publisher's summary

2018 Nebula Award finalist, Fire Ant.

Wasp Squadron: Publisher's Pack contains Fire Ant (book 1) and Crystals (book 2) of The Navy of Humanity: Wasp Squadron series.

Fire Ant, book 1:

Floribeth Salinas O’Shae Dalisay is an Off-Planet Worker, employed as an exploration pilot by the giant corporation, Hamdani Brothers. Sent on a routine mission to analyze one of the millions of systems in the galaxy, she stumbles across something that could threaten humanity’s very existence. She barely escapes with her life, but in the process, has to shut down her scout’s AI.

As with all OPWs, she has few rights, and instead of being lauded as a hero, the corporation thinks she is lying. Her managers believe she found something valuable and shut down her AI in an attempt to hide that fact, hoping she can sell that information to the highest bidder. Grounded, and with a huge debt now over her head, Beth has to convince the powers that be that a very real danger to humanity is lying in wait out there in deep space.

Crystals, book 2

War with the aliens has broken out, and they seem to have all the advantages. Engineers and scientists are scrambling to develop weapons to stand up to the threat, but when all is said and done, it is the Navy fighter pilots who have to take the fight to the enemy.

Petty Officer Third Class Floribeth Salinas O’Shea Dalisay, one of the new enlisted fighter pilots, is on the front lines with VFX-99, the “Stingers.” Sent out as guinea pigs, they collect needed data on the enemy weapons systems by being targets. But even guinea pigs have teeth, and if she can survive, Beth is determined to use hers.

That little Ant Can!

Great ride! Naration is spot on! Character development flows perfectly with story line. And fantastic story line! Reminds of Frederick Pohl's Gateway at start with the Hummingbirds.

Surprising Read

I was expecting something different when I first started WASP Squadron. I was figuring to skim over this novel, before I knew it I was hooked. This series "WASP Squadron" has been enjoyable! It has great characters, and the story line is a hit too.

Good Story

Absolutely amazing performance, cute little story. Poor girl makes good. With enough actions to keep you entertained. A little light but hey who doesn’t like cotton candy.

FireAnt might be small but she means business!

Anyone with military training will instantly recognize the lingo and this story will grand anyone's imagination!
I love the story and it reminds me of society with the rich running things and the poor being used!
Great narration and worth listening or reading the stories of the WASP SQUADRON!

Great characters and engaging story.

Five elements make for a good series. Interesting and relatable characters, involved battles well presented, technology that is understandable and believable, a geopolitical situation that is both familiar but different enough to be plausible, and all are blended into a plot that keeps you reading. This has all those. The publishers packs is also good because the individual books are short enough that a full price for each would not seem fair or worthwhile. With two books in the forts two publisher packs it makes for a great value. I have been listening to a lot of the genre lately and this one kept pulling me back to see what was happening. Bravo.

l have enjoyed listening to the first couple of books in this series. It has given us a introduction to the main characters, and the taste of the battles to come.

Good premise….

….but the vulgarity seemed excessive. I couldn’t listen around my kids. Very creative premise and logically consistent. I appreciate the military authenticity and detail. Not being military, I didn’t catch all of it (and that’s appropriate) and it never felt faked (Which must be hard in the military sci-fi genre).

Not bad

Good military space action listen. Beth and mercy are great characters, flawed, not so sure of themselves, but brave and dedicated.

Great story

I know I probably sound a bit overboard, but Brazee has done a fantastic job in this series. Great character and plot development.
Angela Dawe is the perfect person for the narration. Note too the editing was seamless, the story flowed .
Better yet this was a package deal with books One and Two included.
Now I'll have to purchase publisher's pack Three and Four. and yes I own all the Kindle in the series so far.
