Perfection

I feel like this book was written for me. The pace - engaging. The characters - have depth and are thought out. The world building - gives the exact amount of information the reader needs without being overwhelming or confusing. The banter - YES PLEASE. The longing and passion - beautifully written. The twists and cliff hangers - perfectly balanced. The ending left me excited and wanting more! This is exactly how I want my Romantasy books written.

Such a fun book! 3 narrators for the 3 POVs! The audiobook was fantastic for an immersive read! That plot twist! Didn’t see it coming! Can’t wait for the next book!

What a fun story

Told in dual style narration, I absolutely loved the narrators’ performance!! They did a fantastic job bringing something different to each character. The story was so intriguing and I couldn’t put it down.

THIS BOOK is the perfect slow burn — tension-filled and entirely character-driven.

The relationship build here is one of the best I’veseen in a while: romance layered with political intrigue, trust, and heat. It’s not just a love story tacked onto a plot — it is the plot, woven through betrayal, loyalty, and survival. I didn’t care about how the systems work, how magic work, world building or none of that ish! I was so focused on the characters; I love each of them. Idk what kind of romantasy this is, but this was written for me. I enjoyed the Audible book, it’s narrated with the distinct voices that perfectly matched the three distinct POVs, I read along with it because I was that invested. I’d suggest you listen to it for a true feel of the vibes. Teddy Hamilton is one of the narrators, need I say more?

Absolutely LOVED this audio book! It’s a dual narration with a narrator for each and oh man are they AMAZING. The story itself spans a unique world of magic and intrigue, royal politics, and unexpected love. The book goes quite in depth into the psyche of each the Warrior, the Princess, and the Assassin, and it’s fascinating to see their perspectives comparatively. There are good action sequences but the real intensity comes through the betrayal and the deep emotions conveyed. The complicated relationship between the three was also quite enjoyable. I would listen to this book again in a heartbeat and cannot wait for the next book!

Everything You Want In An Adult Romantasy!

I loved this absolute perfection of a story complete with arranged marriage, journey, one bed, one horse, dangerous alliances, and an amazing cast of characters! Brigid’s adult debut is a masterpiece and I cannot wait for the sequel!! The three narrators are a powerhouse of great performers and I highly recommend this audiobook!!
