Liked, not loved it

Slow to build and plateaus halfway through, but things pick up at the end. It’s not my favorite of Emma Hamm’s books, but it’s still good. I’m curious to see how the second one will play out- I’m thinking it may be a “first book tax” situation. This book is a bit darker than her others, just as a heads up. Spice is mild, think like 🌶️🌶️. 5 of 5, and is very slow to happen. Will probably get the second one just to see how it plays out.

Slow burn and worth it

This slow burn, witch and god fantasy romance was so good. The narrator was amazing although i hope we get a male POV in the second book. FMC gets murdered on her wedding day by her soon to be husband only to be resurrected by a God (The Deathless One) and for this she must bring him back to the living and destroy all that betrayed the kingdom. There is witches, gods, a familiar and a slow burn that is definitely worth the wait. Can’t wait for book 2

Gods! Is the Deathless One is for me!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I loved the little nightmare and her entire journey~ This book is super witchy and I read it just in time for witchy season. Ladies now is the perfect time to pick this one up whether you go the audio, e-read, or tradition method of consuming this wonderful story I think you will enjoy Jessa and her god. I did an emersive read with the gorgeous new paperback and the audio. I flew through this so quickly and now I'm going to suffer until book 2 is released!!!

Deathless One

This story is a slow burn which I am not a fan of, but if you are then this book could be for you.
The last 2 hours are when it finally gets interesting.
The narrator can be a little annoying.
Looks like there will be second book.

Great Narrator

Author Emma Hamm’s books are getting better the older she gets/the more she writes. It is no wonder she was picked up by a publisher, effectively removing her from ‘indie’ writer status. Well earned. She is truly among the most talented writers you could ever do yourself the favor of reading her works. The depth of her imagination is mind-boggling—the variety of genre alone is just … brilliant. 🎭

In ‘The Deathless One’, betrayal and murder set the pages afire from the starting chapters. And the apprehension, distrust, and bedlam simply does. not. stop. The flow is so good. The characters are well fleshed out. World build is awesome. Great narration by Kelsey Navarro Foster. She delivers emotion, without going over the top.
