Best book of the year, unexpected

This book gave heavy nods to Harry Potter but was able to be its own thing. It’s hands down the best book I read all year. I only wish I didn’t pick it up this year so I could read the whole series at once.

Loved

I hope this book blows up so much we get a duet style read in the rest of the series. The narrator chosen for levan is not it. The guy sounds too old. Please get a new narrator. I haven’t had a book make me gasp as much as this one in a long long time. I’m a hoe for time travel but this one just hit different. Can’t wait for the next installment.

1st book in 15 years! Loved it!!

pretty darn good audio book. I loved the person reading. thought the story line was pretty good. I did not feel like it was slow. plenty of action and really enjoyed the story and characters. cant wait for more of the series. this is the first book ive read listened to in easily 15 years. I enjoyed it!

World building with strong characters

Excellent writing, deep characters that blur the lines of evil or more evil. Interested to see where the next book goes.

I enjoyed every second of this book! The world building, character development and plot were so rich and well balanced in this fast-paced adventure. I was completely immersed in this world. Every chapter was exciting and delicious. The narrator was perfect for this book. I cannot wait for the next installment!

I love this book and need a sequel ASAP. The writing is phenomenal. The world building is amazing. Just an all around great read.

So original! Like actually

I needed a new book series that gave me something like Tamora Pierce or Mariah V. Snyder like vibes. This book had everything I wanted. It has been a while since I found something that is truly original versus a cliché with small tweaks. The mystery is there, the intrigue is there, and the character development is wonderful.

Emotionally Charged Fantasy!

This one really sneaks up and sinks it hooks and you! It was a good solid 4⭐️ until about 75% in when I just anticipated the 5⭐️ finish. It did not disappoint! It is full of twists and gasping moments and the narrator was perfect. I can’t wait for the next one!

Very enjoyable, disappointed that a sequel hasn’t been released

Good pace of storytelling. It left me wanting more. The only complaint would be the adult content. It seemed almost misplaced, like someone had got distracted while writing and just wanted to make erotica or was too essential to the story to feel right. There could have been a few cases where it could have been included subtly and with additional characters to develop them further and display contrast. Definitely the best book I’ve read in a while regardless. Would reccomend!
