Soon Big Max Higgins would look up and see the last mountain man riding down the middle of the street with reins in his teeth and both hands filled with .44s. Big Max had always wanted to make a name for himself, and he was going to get it, too - carved on his gravestone.

I sure miss W. Johnston

I thoroughly enjoyed this story. The reader was excellent and really fit the book. As my eyes keep falling I will listen to more books on Audio.

Old Smoke at it again

good story line bringing in old friends but for a GOOD MAN, he sure kills a lot of people in the name of doing good. narriation is excellant, great voice..

what to do with parasites and vermin?

smoke knows....but the modern way of coddling interfers temporarily. resign from the marshalls office and its modern city restrictions and do what is right and just

By far the best in series.

Prepare for a much harder Smoke Jensen. He was a very "no bullshit" man in this book. My absolute favorite so far.
