Publisher's Summary

I'm an elf. A Winter Cheer Elf, to be precise.

A Winter Cheer Elf's job is clear: From the fall solstice until spring, we are to spread as much cheer as possible. There are plenty of opportunities to do so, from small things such as providing free hot cocoa with marshmallows where people are enjoying sledding and ice skating to big ones, such as ensuring winter holidays go off without a hitch.

I take my job seriously, but when my cousin Kristianos railed about a letter addressed to Santa being more suited to those doing Cupid duty later, I needed to know more. By the New Year, I had my answer. Come Valentine's Day, I knew I was lost. Will spring blossom into our happily-ever-after?

If I have any say in the matter, you better believe it!

My Thoughts on Wanted: A Mommy for Christmas

This was such a cute holiday romance. What started as a well intentioned letter from a little girl to find love for her daddy and a mommy for herself led to misunderstandings, mishaps, and mayhem. But it also lead to a slow burn romance that ended my favorite way.

The narrator for this story Rebecca Ehrenpreis was new to me but I really liked her. She had a fun energetic tone that I thought was well suited for this Winter Cheer elf character. There were also a lot of side characters in the story and I thought she did really well with giving them all their own tone.

Overall this was a good listen and one I would recommend to holiday romance fans.

Great feel good story

Star crossed individuals who despite the odds; make it.

I gave 4 stars on the story as the last couple of pages before the epilogue were unnecessary.

The story was very clean cut except for that.

Great Story, Adult Ending

I enjoyed the basis of the story and the way it progressed. I was not prepared for some of the language and adult content in the "honeymoon" chapter and ended up skipping it, but the story made sense without it, so it's all good.

Wanted: A Mommy for Christmas is a super cute novella Krissie is a winter elf who see's a letter from a little girl asking that her dad get a wife for Christmas. In the super sweet letter he sounds too good to be true so Krissie goes to investigate intending to hand him off to cupid elves. Things don't go as planned though which makes this story a ton of fun. I like their "punishments" when getting in trouble and Krissie's mode of transportation. This is a sweet book to curl up and read or listen to on Christmas-y afternoon.

I received this audiobook for free from StoryOrigin. This is my honest and voluntary review.

A Mostly Charming Story

In the beginning, I truly enjoyed this tale and found it very charming; however, one graphic sexual scene was incorporated in the story and that scene took away part of the story's charm, in my opinion. On the whole, Rebecca Ehrenpreis does a fine job with the narration using different voices for each of the characters. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

This needs to be turned into a Hallmark Holiday movie

Loved this sweet story. The basic premise of giving up your own wants/needs to make others happy or to help is heart warming. The perfect story to escape from every day life to.

Not sure

I started this book expecting a sweet romance. It is a story about an elf and winter cheer and the North Pole after all. It seemed like that was going to be the case until Chapter 17. As I listened to that chapter, I asked myself why this was necessary for the story line. A sex scene would have been fine but for a few minutes it was graphic. I would have liked the story much better if it had stayed sweet.
Although, the end turned me off a little, the narration was great. Rebecca Ehrenpreis great job with the cadence and the voices.

So very close...

After getting over the SHOCK of this being set where I live... Fayetteville, NC, I was able to focus. AT least for awhile. Laughing is a bit distracting. I really enjoyed the tale and smooth humor of the Winter Elf. I could actually see it playing as a movie in my mind. I did not hit any disappointment until around 14 minutes from the end. The crude sex scene was so unneeded. It completely disrupted the flow for me. I had to make myself finish the last 12 minutes. I am sure others probably will not care, but it was just too good a story to fall back on, in my opinion, a cheap shot.

A nice cosy book to listen to

This is a feel good story perfect for Christmas or any day where all you want to do is snuggle under a blanket and have a hot chocolate.
The plot is simple enough yet well executed and even have some plot twists to keep you listening to it. I really liked how both the author and the narrator were able to adapt the different voices (and vocabulary) to the different characters. Also, speaking of surprising twist, given the main tone of the book, I was expecting at much a fade to black steamy scene but to my nice surprise, elves can be very descriptive.

Cute Story!💜

This was definitely a different kind Christmas wish-type story. It was super adorable and fun in the beginning. The middle seemed to veer off from the Christmas theme a little hence the twist but still good. In the end, it was a romance story with an HEA. It was almost like 3 stories in one.
I loved the little elves along with their magic.
Rebecca Ehrenpreis did a fantastic job narrating all the different character voices.
