Gripping!
Stefan Korzh is still selling his mother and fathers haunted items and hoping they kill as many people as possible. In this edition, Victor and Jeremy have to retrieve a book and a rifle. Both the items are intent on killing!! The book is picked up by a young boy and the rifle by a man who has no problem killing with it!
I loved book 1 of this and was hoping that this would be just as good, well it was, and it even surprised me by being better. I had a hard time putting this aside because I needed to see what would happen. The idea of a haunted book was super scary because it's such an innocuous item, and the fact that a young boy had it made it worse!! The plot surrounding the rifle was also scary. The man who had it was a psychopath, but when you add in the homicidal ghost, it made for hard reading.
There is a part of the book where I was thrilled to read because we have a character crossover!!! Not going to say who, but I'm so happy to see him in this. I really hope he gets a few more cameos in the rest of the series. Jeremy and Victor are as awesome as always and we get to see a new character who has potential! Really looking forward to finding out more about him.
In all, this was an amazing read. Creepy, scary, gripping and entertaining, this book is a must read. Ron Ripley sure knows how to write great reads. Highly recommend his books!
Thom Bowers did an amazing job reading this. I think this is my favourite by him so far because he really brought the creepy atmosphere to life! I couldn't stop listening!!!
I was voluntarily provided this audiobook for free from the author, narrator, or publisher. This in no way affected nor influenced my thoughts.

Disappointing
I listend to the entire Shane Ryan series, and mostly enjoyed it, so I thought I'd give this series a try. I listend to "Collecting Death" and while it wasn't as good as most of the Shane Ryan books, I decided to give this series another chance. It failed, and I"m returning this book. I hate books that engage in animal abuse. If M.R. James can write an epic ghost story without engaging in animal abuse, these clowns ought to be able to write a decent one without doing that, but apparently they can't. I'm done with Ron Ripley.

Another amazing addition to this series!
I love all of Ron Ripley’s books and thus far have loved all of Thom Bowers’ audio versions! Very happy with this one as well, I listened to the majority of this one in one shot, because I couldn’t wait for the ending-Stefan continues his vengeful plan to sell off his parent’s collections to innocent buyers, creating more and more havoc. Jeremy and Victor continue cleaning up his messes and getting closer to finding him, and this book was even better than the last (even though I maintain my opinion that nothing is creepier than dolls)! A rifle and book are the highlights creating the main troubles in this book...it’s chilling to think of a book that could cause so much death so quickly!!! The rifle was crazy because it should have immediately talked the buyer into suicide, but managed to find itself some kind of dormant sociopathic guy who just needed a catalyst to start his killing spree (also a creepy thought, in and of itself)! The heroes manage to come out on top in the end but never without some unfortunate casualties in the interim that will change lives forever-he must be permanently stopped! Loved it, as always-I received this book from Scare Street in exchange for an honest opinion, thank you!!!

The horrifying adventure continues!
Jeremy and Victor continue to hunt down Stefan's haunted items. The rifle in this story has a truly evil ghost attached to it, causing anyone coming in contact with it to kill others or themselves. Thom Bower's voice for Stefan's dead father brings this terrifyingly imposing ghost to life! I almost feel I have to follow his orders myself. Misfortune befalls poor Marie, but the introduction of an old friend of hers (very old and tiny) was intriguing. Having Shane Ryan, ghost killer extraordinaire, crossover into this series to help was a nice surprise! Great story, and wonderful narration! I can't wait to see what happens next!

Continues to keep you on the edge of your seat
have learned to love Ron Ripley books. This is book #2, a continuation of book #1. Even as a continuation it is well described. I think it is so much better than book one as he incorporates characters you may know from his previous books. Ron writes a good suspenseful read that will keep you on the edge of your seat and cause you to get chills. I was glad when Shne made an appearance. Stefan continues to sell objects from his parents collection. The objects are intent on killing. Thom Bowers makes the story interesting and draws you in which causes you to get chills. I highly recommend this book series. Ron Ripley has outdone himself.

Haunted ordinary objects
Wow, each story keeps getting better and better. It is scary to read about ordinary objects being haunted and people not suspecting anything. This story made me look at things in an antique store differently also it was hard not to be cautious when entering a thrift store. This writer is that good. This story was worth the time I spent listening. I will continue to read the rest of the series.

Nasty Ghosts
This book is not as good as Ron's Sherman's Library which was really good, this is also about cursed objects. The stories are getting to be too much alike, you know the ending before you begin, salt, iron and a lead box, ghost defeated. Just my opinion but I think for a change, get rid of the ghosts and do something like the old TV series 'Friday the 13' about a shop called Curious Goods which has cursed antiques cutesy of the original owner and black magic. The antiques cannot be destroyed and must be found and locked up. I think Ron Ripley could do a really good job with a story like that (and no ghosts included).
