love this book!!

I thought Unfurl was hot. this one may be hotter.

I'm usually not into single dads or widows, but this was done so well. I loved Zach and Maddie and how their relationship came together. And their group of friends is such a support for Zach, it's so sweet.

The narration is on point. His voice is super sexy. This whole series is so good, and it's even better on audio.

An Emotional Powerhouse!

Can there be deep emotion amid super-schmexy times? Why, yes, there can. Once again, Elodie Hart brings it.
Zach is a deeply grieving widower with 2 tiny daughters, trying (and failing) most days to get his life under control enough to provide a stable environment for his now little family of three. The only bright spot in his days is the cheery, young co-worker at the high-class sex club he co-owns. As the CFO, Zach is more interested in the financial well-being of the club, rather than the pleasures behind those doors. Until his friend and colleague coaxed him in just to peek. And that peek changes the course of his life.
Maddy is young and unencumbered by shame over her sexual desires, landing a dream job as social media manager of Alchemy, which comes with a free membership to the club. Maddy finds great pleasure in partaking in the sexual variety the club offers, but could she find gratification with the older, hot single dad that makes her blood sing?
Before you dismiss this book as being only about shenanigans in a sex club, look again. Elodie Hart brings deeply emotional themes to her work, at times I was breathless with grief right along with Zach and unsettled along with Maddy as she graspingly tried to be enough for the man she’s fallen in love with.
Yes, this is a schmexy book, but it’s also a deeply emotional one. Sara Madderson, writing as Elodie Hart, once again brought me to my knees with her beautiful gift of words. Well done.

Ugh I freaking loved this, YES SIR

Everything LITERALLY a 10 out of 10. I loved this book so much more than the first. I love the development of Madds and Zach’s relationship. Their scenes together were so HOT. My favorite was probably when Izzy joined 🤭 because girl action too 🔥 The letter Claire wrote to Zach made me cry 😭 never would I expect a book like this to make me cry, maybe because I’m a mother and married too??? PLEASE READ IT!!

Spice 3.5/5🌶️ Story 4/5❤️ Narration 4/5. Overall 4/5. (Gave story 5/5 on ratings b/c I don’t want to discourage others who are picky like me 😂)
I wasn’t “feeling it” in the beginning BUT, as the story progressed, it took shape into a super spicy and really solid romance.
I like that the “misunderstanding” trope was minimally used and there was no excess internal monologue.
I think this was better written (or edited) than Unfurl.

Sexual, sensuous healing

Elodie Heart has written a beautiful story about how a grieving widower with 2 young, grieving daughters can be brought back to life by a beautiful 23 year old woman.

The narrators brought all of the emotion, need, desire, and love to life. I loved this story when I read it, I loved it more after listening to it.

I read UNFURL and was so excited it was a series! This book might have been even better! Zach was absolutely precious....and perfectly filthy! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!

I absolutely love this second installment in the alchemy series! I think I liked it better than the first just simply because the storyline was so beautiful! the spice was definitely there and it was so good 🥵🥵🥵🔥🔥🔥🔥 I can't wait to read the third book!
