Publisher's Summary

Grace Martindale has known more than her share of hardship. After her parents died, raising her two younger sisters became her responsibility. A hasty marriage to a minister who is heading to the untamed West seemed like an opportunity for a fresh start, but a cholera outbreak along the wagon trail has left Grace a widow in a very precarious position. Having learned natural remedies and midwifery from her mother, Grace seeks an opportunity to use her skills for the benefit of others. So when she and her sisters arrive at the Whitman mission in Oregon Country, she decides to stay rather than push on.

wonderful

I absolutely loved this story. In the true decisions that a lot of women have to face due to cruel actions. This story really has wonderful deep meaning. That I hope you find a blessing too

Well written, but ...

The story flows well and gives a wonderful glimpse of life during that time. Some parts were almost too harsh to bear. The clear voice of Ms Cozart is much appreciated.

Treasured grace

A little boring. I didn't care for it. I still like Tracie Peterson as an author.

I tried twice.

I love Tracie Peterson books. This is why I listened twice. This book is just not for me. I hoped that the second time I would feel differently. Sometimes that happens for me. I don’t know if it’s the plot or the characters. I don’t know. I just did not care for this book.

Narrator made characters sound like children

First time I've heard Cozart. Couldn't finish the story due to poor performance. Voice too high pitched and out-of-character. Love Peterson's books. This one ruined by performance :( I won't be listening to any more of her narration.

A Journey of Grace

This was a wonderful book full of suspense, surprises and faithfulness of love. Three sisters are struck by disaster and learn to cope with the loss and trauma in their own way. They find help through other people and ultimately there faith in God and trust Him no matter what happened. Mrs. Peterson another excellent story!

Great read!

Fantastic book. I loved everything about this book. From friendships gained going west, to a new understanding about native Indians, and life getting settled.
