Marie's Route: Zero Percent?!

After being reborn in the world of an otome game as an insignificant background character, Leon tries his best to lead an uneventful life, but someone else who reincarnated there has a different idea. Marie may be insignificant like Leon for now, but she's intent on slipping into the main character's role and claiming all the love interests for herself! Leon narrowly manages to impede her first attempt, but will this really stop her? Why does he have this sinking feeling that something's gone terribly wrong?!

Was thinking the whole time that the anime went a complete 180 from the book but figured out afterwards that this was an alternate timeline in comparison with the original story. This is a what if and I would recommend it only after the first 2 books. Overall okay but some people will have a rough time with the brother sister story here.

Alternate story

This is an interesting alternate reality. It was fun seeing Marie connect with Leon early on and allow the game plot to flow as is, but I fel bad for Livia the whole time since she never gets the chance to meet her true love. Seeing Livia's circumstances if she never met Leon was definitely nerve-wracking and showed just how awkward/helpless her position was in a school of nobility. Simultaneously needing to "know her place" while being unable to reject/dismiss the idiot brigade due to "knowing her place" on top of the fact that those boys are the only ones actively interacting with her normally. Wouldn't be surprised if she snapped one day. Also can't wait to see if Leon and Marie ever find out about how their past lives connect

At first I thought this was the story from Marie side, from the main story line. I first saw the anime and than start the novels. When I found out this book was coming out I figured it was from Marie side of the story which would been very entertaining. Specially with the prince and his troop with their stupidity.
I do like the backstory to Marie, it really does help bring what drives her and why she did what she did in the main story events. The direction of this story was a very interesting take, special because this book follows the games true events. In that the relationship between the two main characters brings out a lot of depth to how they feel about each other. Special with Marie and the regret she feels about her brother.
The other part I really like is it also gives you point of view from Angelica and Olivia. Special with Olivia considering how her personality is in the main story, it never made sense to me that she would choose a reverse harem. Even though this story is different from the main series I like that it keeps with the characters personality’s. Overall I enjoyed this, hopefully the next book comes out soon.

Different from what I was expecting

The relationship between the brother and sister was incredibly annoying. That detracted from the overall story. Perhaps I'm tainted by the anime, but seeing nothing at all translated directly from the ln made me very disappointed. This story could have been called "Brother And Sister Get Sent To Another World And Get On Each Other's Nerves, But Are Too Self Absorbed And Moronic To Figure Out They Are Related", because that's this book in a nutshell. It's not bad, but it's not winning any writing awards either.

Recap; only the titles, character names, and basic premise are anything similar to the anime. Nothing else. It's just two siblings getting Isekai'd and bickering in the new world.

If you watched the anime and thought you would follow along with the light novel, prepare for disappointment.

Let’s get one thing clear this is NO the same story as the regular trapped in a dating sim story Nor is it a telling from someone else’s POV this is a completely new route that is darker then the original you should go in understanding that
