Publisher's Summary

This comprehensive guide to cat care from the star of the hit Animal Planet show My Cat from Hell, Jackson Galaxy, shows us how to eliminate feline behavioral problems by understanding cats' instinctive behavior.

Cat Mojo is the confidence that cats exhibit when they are at ease in their environment and in touch with their natural instincts - to hunt, catch, kill, eat, groom, and sleep.

Problems such as litter box avoidance and aggression arise when cats lack this confidence. Jackson Galaxy's number one piece of advice to his clients is to help their cats harness their mojo. This book is his most comprehensive guide yet to cat behavior and basic cat care, rooted in understanding cats better.

From getting kittens off to the right start socially to taking care of cats in their senior years, and everything in between, this book addresses the head-to-toe physical and emotional needs of cats - whether related to grooming, nutrition, play, or stress-free trips to the vet.

Jackson Galaxy's BEST Book Yet❗

if you have a sincere desire not only to learn, but to also better understand your cat/s, then this is a must-read. Everything is covered from A-Z in this great audio book. I've been doing cat rescue for 3 years and have learned many of the most important cat basics, however, listening to Jackson Galaxy's audiobook has greatly expanded my information base and furthered my knowlege by being a "cat detective." This is valuable to even the most die-hard cat person because there's always room to learn more. Why not learn from the best❓

Great Book For Cat Lovers

Total Cat Mojo is a book full of tips from a famous cat behaviorist, Jackson Galaxy. His thesis is that many behavioral issues that your cat may face, ultimately comes down to their "mojo", which is his term for the cat's overall happiness and sense of well-being. And the book described ways in which to increase a cat's mojo, and ways that you may be inadvertently hurting your cat's mojo.

The book also focuses on problem solving, and he talks about most of the problem scenarios that you may deal with as a cat owner. Things like having multi-cat households and helping the cats get along, letterbox issues, shy cats, aggressive cats, what to feed cats, how to select a litterbox, what sort of activities will make your cat happier, and lots more.

It's a great book for breaking down and understanding cat behavior. I'm a huge Jackson Galaxy fan (from his prior books, especially "Cat Daddy" and his tv show "My Cat From Hell") so it's a no-brainer that I'd love this one too. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is that for some inexplicably reason, he didn't narrate it (like he did for "Cat Daddy"). In any case... highly recommended.

educational and well narrated

I recognized many things I knew intrinsically but also received information gifts from this book.

Narration. good voice acting, contributed to the experience. Briefly I thought it was the author.

one drawback: I wish Chapter titles had been entered to facilitate this reference book.

Jackson should have read this book.

I loved this book I respect his work and commitment to helping us understand cats
We are always spreading the word of the Cat Daddy. It's also an opening to talk about our cats and we could go on and on about them and how superior they are because we walk the walk. Write more Jackson.

Great book, wish the writer had narrated.

Great reference and guide. my only disappointment was that Jackson Galaxy himself didn't narrate it. He's narrated previous volumes of his work, and he claims this title is basically the essence of his life's work. One would think he might have wanted to tie his voice to his magnum opus.

My traumatized rescue cat

I adopted a cat that was clearly someone’s house cat that was dumped. This cat survived a horrible winter with over a foot of snow. When I got her she was a little skeleton with no fur. She was really traumatized terrified and would full-blown body attack my other cat. This book really help me understand and give my terrified aggressive cat her confidence and bravery. My two cats now live in peace. I highly recommend this book.

Chock Full of Good Ideas But....

To start with, this book gave me many very good ideas to help with some problems we've been having with our five cats, and one cat in particular. I will certainly be implementing many of the ideas in my efforts to help our loner cat to get along with the others. To be upfront, I've listened to several science-heavy books about cats and cat behavior so the language in this book was a bit off-putting and geared for a broader appeal. Mojo, mojofied, mojofication, catification all make me cringe and are used A LOT in the book. I'd have preferred more appropriate words like contented, confident, at-ease, etc... Despite this, I'd highly recommend this book as the knowledge is rooted in science and several prominent scientists are quoted. If you have a cat this should be on your list to listen to or read.
