A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother's sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from - a place to which she vowed she'd never return.

No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when - or if - it will go away.

Story
Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Kris Kristofferson. Before they were household names, these budding legends called Sue’s Nashville apartment—lovingly dubbed the “Boar’s Nest”—home. Sue’s place was an intimate staging ground where a new breed of singer-songwriters—wounded souls, wayward upstarts—would spur each other on to tap into something bigger, realer.

Story
In the heart of the South Pacific lies Point Nemo, the most desolate and remote place on Earth. At its core is a dead zone, devoid of life, where government agencies crash their obsolete satellites and space stations, confident they won't harm a soul. When the International Space Station suffers a catastrophic failure and plummets through the atmosphere, it's here that Mission Specialist Julie Rohr, an astrobiologist studying living space dust called xylem, finds herself marooned. Julie's only hope for rescue lies in the hands of her estranged father, Dr. Finn Maddern, a renowned mycologist.

So good that it left me wanting hours more. Would have rated higher if it had been longer.

To Die For
Rachel Bavidge is a wonderful narrator but is unable to rescue this week tale of rivalry. Lacks suspense. A short audio book that so forgotten half way through.

Not so gripping or chilling.
according to the description the story is a gripping chilling Thriller. I did not find it gripping or chilling or a thriller. The performance was fantastic comma the story just did not keep my attention. I have no problems listening to two other books in between the short 11 chapter story.

Confused... Is it over?
I don't know if I missed something or what but I feel like the story ended in the middle...? Good story line and good narrating, left wanting more.

It's like getting only the first 2 chapters of a book
I thoroughly enjoyed the performance and the story appeared to be the beginning of a great detective novel and then it's just over. Only a beginning. No middle. No end.

Good, and short
It was good, not amazing. The ambiance was stressful, but I had trouble getting the characters differentiated. The tone was right though. I liked how it was short and concise.

stolen from a real case
Almost no imagination used here. the involvement of the brother was probably the only added dimension. A lazy effort but well-read.
