Loved it

I went into this book with no expectations and completely blind and it did not disappoint! I was on the edge of my seat and interested throughout the entire book! Can’t wait for number 2!

Great start to a series.

The dystopian world was very interesting. I loved the mmc and fmc's first meeting and how it ended. The tech in the prison really added to the futuristic dystopian vibe very well. The slow burn was also perfect in my opinion.
I enjoyed the dark elements like the fact that the public had been sold on the idea that they were bettering the world by taking out criminals. Even though they all knew the smallest infraction sent people there. The brainwashing feels very relevant to today's ludicrous politics. I feel like most women who write Romantasy, do not write that well. But she nailed it.

Fast Paced

I couldn’t put this one down! The fast pace had me hooked from the first chapter!! This book was a good time!!

Need book 2

Hunger games with Zuko and Katara from avatar the last Airbender but is more focused on the dystopian aspects of politics and government. With spice. Sign me up. Need book two. Now. lol.

easy to picture in my head. no dull scenes.

our book club read this! i loved the character development & range of characters age/ personality! scenes were easy to imagine. excited for book two!
