Yes!

Oh my word!!!!! Yes ! This was super fast paced and I loved every minute of it! This is a real badbutt FMC!! I love when they let the reader understand a weakness but not be so repetitive it gets boring! It was a tad sad on some parts! But to me this was one of the best binge worthy books I’ve listened to in a long time!. I’m extremely picky about my books these days!! If you like shatter me, or hunger games this will probably suck you in quick!!.
Please hurry with book 2! I do hate that it ends the way it does!!

easy to picture in my head. no dull scenes.

our book club read this! i loved the character development & range of characters age/ personality! scenes were easy to imagine. excited for book two!

This had potential but fell short

I loved the plot of this and I stuck with it waiting for the moment that would really pull me in but it just never happened. What was supposed to be tension was replaced with repetitive “interruptions” and it got old quick. They literally met in a bar with a two sentence interaction and were ready to bang yet the rest of the story they acted like they were 15 year olds in a YA novel.

There were a lot of inconsistencies and plot holes that were very noticeable. The heroine supposedly gets beat up by a gang of people, kicked repeatedly in the face and ribs and blacks out but she refuses treatment and there is no mention of injuries after YET….she slips and falls and cuts her hand and can’t handle the pain and needs stitches!?! This was just one of many eye rolling moments that made it hard to take the story seriously.

This wasn’t terrible. I finished it, I just felt like I was waiting for the story to kick in and it never really did.

Overhyped

I was super excited for this book and just did not enjoy the story or the romance.
It just didn’t feel like it flowed well together.
