Savannah is a woman ahead of her times. A women fighting for womens rights is causing havoc in town with protests. Zachariah is the town sheriff and a widower, has the his hands full with Savannah. Both are headstrong individuals. Zach's love for Savannah is different from his love for his first wife. Their love was a journey. passionate, and not without a few trials.

Great Characters

I am loving this series! the characters are so strong and fully developed and the stories of how their love blossomed is so stinking cute.

This is a delightful, well performed, historic romance set in the outer banks of North Carolina during the sufferagette period

Enjoyable story if not a tad juvenile.

Enjoyed the book but the first part reminded me of a YA novel with a little more sex. The action picked up in the rest of the book. I would enjoy reading more from this author in the future. "This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review."

Great series

I love this series! The characters are so strong and fully developed and the stories so engaging. The passion and energy of the characters brought to life by the narrators is very entertaining.

This is the first series I've read/listened to by Tracy Sumner. I was really looking forward to Zach's story! I really liked his character in the first book. But he sure did frustrate me in this book, a lot. I didn't care for the heroine, Savannah, either. But she started growing on me a bit towards the midway point. The story seemed to have picked up then as well. It took until the end to get a HEA just as the first book.

Kimberly Wetherell did a good job once again. A voice that fits the characters and easy to listen to.

A sweet story

I enjoyed read and listening to Savannah Connor and Zachariah Garrett. Savannah is a woman that likes to fight for freedom and a rally organizer. She has came to Pilot Isle, North Carolina to help a friend. While she is there she gets a new cause. But quickly finds herself at odds with the town Constable.

Zachariah Garrett is a widow and has a son. He is also the town' s constable. He has vowed to never marry again but something happens that will make him marry again.

The story had a lot of funny parts that made me laugh.  And all the characters were nicely described too.
And the narrative also did a good reading the story it felt like I was there with the characters.
