Great story!

Love this story, great page turner! Loved the characters in this read quite the cast of misfits!

Intrigue and Romance, and a bit of a thriller

Very interesting story line, with engaging twists of plot all throughout.
Wonderfully developed characters.
Surely appreciate the women having agency.

Clever banter

I enjoyed the clever banter between Colin and Madeline. This author knows how to create longing and a satisfying conclusion with each of her stories. Now, I am longing to start the next book in the series!

Intriguing, unpredictable plot which keeps you guessing.

Great banter, intelligence and humour. Sexy, passionate and yet still within the realm of believability for the period. A storyline which keeps revealing itself along the way. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Well read.

Well worth it

Read this series before and loved it. Listening to it was pure joy! Narrator was fabulous! Touching love story.

Entertaining

I did enjoy the story, though it was slow. Some things got on my nerves like the author repeating words like "slowly, slowly" and "very, very" etc. It was overall very good.

Good HEA

I like the storyline. The characters were well developed. I love a good happily ever after following some turmoil.

Steamy

Light-hearted, somewhat predictable, but a few twist towards the end complete the circular plot. Still, characters are pleasant and I'm interested to see what happens next.

Good mix of plot and pleasure

This is the first Julie Anne Long book for me. Felt like I was in good hands and thoroughly liked spending time with Colin and Madeline - and getting a good start on this new series ( for me).

Great story. Good character development.

I really don’t like the narrator, and I usually avoid anything that she narrates but I thought I’d give this a try, and the story intrigued me enough that I was able to kind of ignore what, for me is very grating narration.
