Horrible male voices. They all sound like 60+ ornery men and cartoon characters; no way these sound like ’men in their late twenties or 30s.. So distracting. Lots of inconsistencies in storyline.

Waaaay too many misunderstandings

The story was okay. but the characters were so frustrating. it seemed that no one did the right thing at the right time. I know a plot needs some ups and downs to keep it moving, but this was just too much!

I enjoyed this book

I enjoyed this book and found myself laughing a few times. The beginning was delightful and I generally like the development of the characters. the main characters were well matched and I'm happy that they got together. Past the middle of the book it it dragged a little but the ending was good. I enjoyed it overall.

The narrator was good in my opinion. I listened to to book it at a faster speed and it made it perfect for me.

Meh

I have really liked some of Tessa Dare’s other work, but the characters and plot on this were paper thin. The dialogue needed help too. The narrator is pretty good, but she lisps half the time so it makes the male characters more funny than sexy. I hate to quit books mid-read, but I was tempted to do that on this. It started strong, but I’m glad it’s over.

A Wonderful Love Story

I just love Tessa Dare. Spicy and does not keep you waiting till 3/4 into the book like some stories.

Cute

This is a cute story. I especially liked that I didn’t have to spend the whole book waiting for the two main characters to get together. Very creative.

uncomfortable plot and scenes

this is a story of two young people who apparently don't have any communication skills. it's all miscommunication and misunderstandings culminating to using sex as a control tactic. by chapter 26 I was beyond ready to quit. but I only had a few chapters left. i like this writer but this was such a struggle for me.

FYI the narrator has a lisp. it didn't bother me but their male voices were kind of painful.

First review here. That’s how compelled I was. I never got completely into the story. Maybe it was the narrator. Maybe it was the story. But from the moment I heard the narrator say “thuitor “ instead of suitor I could not unhear the lisp. Maybe skip this one.
