Rowan and Citra take opposite stances on the morality of the Scythedom, putting them at odds, in the chilling sequel to the Printz Honor Book Scythe from New York Times best seller Neal Shusterman, author of the Unwind dystology.

The Thunderhead cannot interfere in the affairs of the Scythedom. All it can do is observe — it does not like what it sees.

A year has passed since Rowan had gone off grid. Since then, he has become an urban legend, a vigilante snuffing out corrupt scythes in a trial by fire. His story is told in whispers across the continent.

As Scythe Anastasia, Citra gleans with compassion and openly challenges the ideals of the "new order". But when her life is threatened and her methods questioned, it becomes clear that not everyone is open to the change.

Will the Thunderhead intervene?

Or will it simply watch as this perfect world begins to unravel?

Any additional comments?

A few hours ago I was silently griping because I thought Scythe was a great standalone book and I wasn't looking for a series based in that world.
After finishing Thunderhead, I realize that there's so much more to be said about this world--so many more stories there that I want to hear.

Unexpected, from start to finish

Shusterman has done a great job of creating a true viable utopia and than, as is always necessary, letting it destroy itself. A pace that never slows and a plot that maintains the suspense throughout.
Tremblay is exceptional in his reading of all the voices.

I really enjoyed the second book of this series! Schusterman does a really great job at world building and this is a very interesting and unique dystopian topic! Is a very easy listen but isn’t so simple that it’s hard to listen to for a 20-something. Would recommend to anyone who likes dystopian/fiction novels like Hunger Games, Red Rising, and Divergent

Easy read and great performance
