Publisher's Summary

'Once I was the poster boy for corporate success, but now I’m crashing through the bush in a storm in search of a missing pig. How the hell did we end up here?'

Todd and Jeff have had enough of the city. Sick of the daily grind and workaday corporate shenanigans, they throw caution to the wind and buy 100 acres in the Hunter Valley, intent on living a golden bucolic life and building a fabulous B&B, where they can offer the joys of country life to heart-weary souls. Todd will cook; Jeff will renovate. They can make wine and grow their own food and live the dream. How hard can it be?

Sight over Sound

A friend reccomended the hard cover to me, so thought I would Audible it. I can see the “laugh out loud” moments, but I really think you would get more entertainment by reading it yourself. When listening to certain situations in the book, I think an imaginative visual rather than the actual audio you hear.....

Does that even make sense??? I just think it’s better hard cover than listening

Had me chuckling aloud on more than one occasion. Highly recommend, especially if you’re ever dreamt of a tree change.

Fabulous read.

After hearing Todd on the ABC I thought I'd give this book a try. Having done a tree change myself I was curious. I definitely found certain elements in common (country town grapevine, living on the land and the rose drink off). My eyes usually roll far enough back in my head to hit my brain stem when people go on about their animals (& children, come to think of it). Not so, in this case. Todd was able to portray his absolute love for the animals in his and Jeff's care. So much so that I am questioning my carnivore ways!
I'd love to visit Block 8 someday to see what sounds like a wonderful property. And two top blokey blokes.
