Publisher's Summary

"Newsflash. You don't buy me, a$#%^*e. You earn me."

The bride is a doll. The groom is the perfect gentleman. But the rest of the wedding party? They're the stuff of nightmares. Rich? Check. Vapid? Double check. Entitled? Not enough checks in the world. And the best man? More like the worst man.

But maid of honor Franchesca takes her duties seriously. Kidnapped groom? She's got this. Rude attendees? You just watch her handle them. So a best man with a big attitude and an even bigger...checkbook? Yeah, there's no way she's going to let that pretentious, judgmental jackhole ruin her best friend's wedding. No matter how sexy he is. (Well, that's the plan anyway...)

Aiden Kilbourn doesn't do long-term relationships. He's busy ruling the business world, and has yet to find a woman he can tolerate for longer than a month, two at the most, anyway. Conquering the unconquerable is basically his bread and butter. And he hasn't met a challenge that he can't win. But Franchesca Baranski? This smart-mouthed girl from Brooklyn may just be his downfall.

WOW.. WOW.. WOW.. WHAT A WONDERFUL SURPRISE

This listen was a total gamble because Lucy Score is a new to me author and Natalie Duke is a new to me narrator.. but wowee, together they really delivered a 5 star audiobook. This would make an awesome rom/com film.. every single word was just perfect.. from the quick-witted fun banter, the silly antics, the sizzling chemistry, the humor, the feisty smart-mouthed heroine, the sexy droolworthy Billionaire, the emotional hurdles, the secondary characters, the light drama and angst, the sex, the dual POV pacing, the flow and the romantic development of a forever love.. ALL OF IT was pure gold.

Worth a credit? Oh boy yes.. even two.

Hilarious rom-com done perfectly

I read this book on kindle and was waiting expectantly for the audio version. I’m not disappointed. If I loved the book before, is even better on audio! The narrator is extremely good and does the many characters justice. You have Romance, intrigue, drama, unexpected situations and it’s done with so much humor you can’t help but laugh out loud! Frankie is my type of heroine and I identify myself with her more than any other of Lucy’s characters. Aiden, even though he is the worse best man, has a sensitive side that Frankie brings out. The banter between them is great and the side characters, especially Frankie’s family are fantastic! This audiobook It’s so worth the credit and it’s definitely one of those book I’d be listening again and again.

Feisty heroine finds her match

Lucy Score’s books never disappoint. Love the characters she creates and how strong and independent her heroine is. Frankie is a take no nonsense girl from Brooklyn. Aiden is a guarded billionaire who fell hard for her during a destination wedding. Their chemistry is off the chart and the secondary characters are a hoot especially the Baranski. There are so many scenes that will make you laugh so hard your middle hurt. It’s rom com at its best.

The Best Narration

Love this crazy destination wedding rom com! There is so much more to the story and Natalie Duke's narration helps portray this world created by Lucy Score. Frankie and Aiden are not your typical billinaire and Jersey girl. The characters are so well developed I just want to move there and have lunch with Ma! Enjoy!

Hilariously funny!

I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and humor in this book. Frankie’s wit and no nonsense talk kept me engaged. My only issue with the narrator was that she sounded like she was taking a sarcastic breath before speaking many times. Almost like she was disgusted by what she was about to say. I guess I got used to it over time or the story was so engaging that it didn’t bother me enough to not finish the book. Definitely set up for a sequel in my opinion.

My First Ever Audible Audio Book -- PERFECT!

There is so much to this book, I do not know where to start! It is the best of all of Lucy’s books combined into one. Action, adventure, love, heat, family, humor, awesome secondary characters… It is a beautiful balance of humor and emotions. I LOVED reading it -- but the audio? Nailed the voices perfectly. May Baranski sounded on audio EXACTLY like she did in my head when I read the book. LOVED!

Funny, sexy perfection

I loved this book. The narrator is perfect! While there are definitely some hot scenes in this, I was also laughing out loud at multiple points. The characters got to me, and I was honestly sad for it to end!

Enjoyable storyline

The story overall was very good with plenty of interesting characters and the developing romance between Frankie and Aiden. The narrator did well with the female characters but I feel the male characters could have been improved.

A billionaire and a girl from Brooklyn

A compelling story

A bachelor high society billionaire and a girl from Brooklyn

Sparks fly when Aiden and Frankie aka Francesca first meet at her best friend's wedding. Frankie dislikes Aidens bachelor ways and his snobbery but the more they are thrown together the more she thaws and the chemistry sizzles.

Frankie is a down to earth girl working to pay off her loans whereas Aiden is rich, a well known high society bachelor with the paparazzi tracking his every move.

The story contains a love-hate relationship, and trust issues as Frankie has to learn to go with her heart, not her head and overcome the differences between them, their backgrounds, and the different lifestyles they lead.

It's a pretty woman kind of story.

I loved Francesca's older brothers in the plot too, with their typical, hurt my sister and we'll hurt you, capiche kind of brotherly warnings.

I really enjoyed it and once I got past the third person telling of the story which is always something I struggle with, I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and would recommend it although I do still wish it had been told in first person.

The narration was fantastic and really brought the characters to life in the conversation parts of the story.

The worst best slump buster

I'd kept thinking I should try Lucy Score's books, people kept telling me how good they were, I just wasnt sure. Then I hit a slump, I needed a book to listen to while I work, listen to while I travel, listen to while I relax.

At first I wasnt sure, I was still in the slump but then I began to be pulled in to the story. Better still, it built and built, Lucy could have stopped it around the half way mark and it'd have been fine but she didn't she just continued and developed and it grew and became so much more.

That slump has definitely gone, Lucy you pulled me out I'm off to find another of your books to get me through a week of exams :)

2.5 stars but has lots of potential

I tried to enjoy this book but the way the characters, their interactions and relationship developed was annoying and could do with some work. There were much too many eye roll moments as I was reading. The book has potential, though.
