Publisher's summary

"Newsflash. You don't buy me, a$#%^*e. You earn me."

The bride is a doll. The groom is the perfect gentleman. But the rest of the wedding party? They're the stuff of nightmares. Rich? Check. Vapid? Double check. Entitled? Not enough checks in the world. And the best man? More like the worst man.

But maid of honor Franchesca takes her duties seriously. Kidnapped groom? She's got this. Rude attendees? You just watch her handle them. So a best man with a big attitude and an even bigger...checkbook? Yeah, there's no way she's going to let that pretentious, judgmental jackhole ruin her best friend's wedding. No matter how sexy he is. (Well, that's the plan anyway...)

Aiden Kilbourn doesn't do long-term relationships. He's busy ruling the business world, and has yet to find a woman he can tolerate for longer than a month, two at the most, anyway. Conquering the unconquerable is basically his bread and butter. And he hasn't met a challenge that he can't win. But Franchesca Baranski? This smart-mouthed girl from Brooklyn may just be his downfall.

Funny Brooklyn girl!

Lucy Score is the best at these quirky rom coms. This is no exception. She also masters the art of a woman of the metoo era. She brings females that want to stand on their own and stand up for who they are. She also writes men who believe women can do it all and go after men who do not follow suit. I always love how she embraces the world we live in today and the females that portray our bright future. Frankie is a no nonsense Brooklyn girl who works her way through school and is so smart and super sassy. She is ultra confident in who she is and what she believes in. She is who I want to be when I grow up. Aiden is a socialite gazillionaire who can’t help but fall for Frankie despite not wanting to. He takes a lot on his shoulders to try to do better than he is. Frankie is the beat kind of person to help him do that. The socialite world is somewhere I could never relate and don’t think I’d want to. I live how true to herself Frankie remains. I love how Aiden loves every aspect of her including her family. Also the dirty talk and sexual tension is off the charts. They are insatiable for each other. I love this book. It is now my number 2 from Lucy Score.

great narration by Nathalie. I do have to say that sometimes there are sentences which are really hard to understand.

Aiden and Franky

I enjoyed The Worst Best Man, it kept me entertained and even thinking about the characters after the story was over. I liked the banter between Aiden and Frankie's brothers and Ma made me smile with her smacks upside the head. I loved Frankie's smart mouth and how she didn't let anyone talk down to her no matter who they were, that's my favorite kind of h. At first I kind of rolled my eyes at how upset she got over something years ago, even though her friend loyalty was awesome, but then when it was said she was always looking for a reason it made more sense. I didn't feel like either of the H or h dominated the relationship which was such a plus for me! All in all I would recommend this book and say it is a 5 star read.

Hilarious rom-com done perfectly

I read this book on kindle and was waiting expectantly for the audio version. I’m not disappointed. If I loved the book before, is even better on audio! The narrator is extremely good and does the many characters justice. You have Romance, intrigue, drama, unexpected situations and it’s done with so much humor you can’t help but laugh out loud! Frankie is my type of heroine and I identify myself with her more than any other of Lucy’s characters. Aiden, even though he is the worse best man, has a sensitive side that Frankie brings out. The banter between them is great and the side characters, especially Frankie’s family are fantastic! This audiobook It’s so worth the credit and it’s definitely one of those book I’d be listening again and again.

Hilariously funny!

I thoroughly enjoyed the storyline and humor in this book. Frankie’s wit and no nonsense talk kept me engaged. My only issue with the narrator was that she sounded like she was taking a sarcastic breath before speaking many times. Almost like she was disgusted by what she was about to say. I guess I got used to it over time or the story was so engaging that it didn’t bother me enough to not finish the book. Definitely set up for a sequel in my opinion.
