love this story

hilarious and sweet, this story has all the feels, I love, love, love Scarlett! this is my third time reading and first listen and the voices were perfect for the characters. So good.

Quick review, because I'm downloading book 2. Love the story, the ongoing subplot and the well done peripheral characters as well. Great narration, loved the acting!

loved the story line and narrators did a great job. the epilogue gave away stuff I thought kind of gave away future book references

Good enjoyable read

Got into this book thinking it will be another romance book but it is more then that, it is sweet , witty , funny and to make it shine it has mystery. Enjoyed a lot but now their is cliff hanger about the the missing girl. Have to read all 6 books to solve it.

I wished I loved it more ..

I am from the south and the overuse and incorrect use of “yall” stressed me out and the accents annoyed me. But the story was okay just not my favorite of hers and I LOVE LUCY SCORE BOOKS

This was a great start to the Bootleg Springs series. I really enjoyed the opposites attract and forced proximity tropes and they worked perfectly for this small town romance. There are plenty of shenanigans and laughs throughout, but I did feel that the story lost a little focus in the middle and some parts felt repetitive and too drawn out.

Scarlett was a whirlwind of activity and such a great contrast to the buttoned up Devlin. There is some typical push and pull between them as reality intrudes on their bubble, but the epilogue was just right and really set up the future books well. Natalie Duke and Stephen Dexter were wonderful together and I really enjoyed their narration. Natalie Duke's accent was a highlight for me and she was the perfect Scarlett. The Callie Kendall mystery was also an interesting addition to the story and I'm looking forward to seeing how that resolves over the course of the series.

Oh I just loved this book all around!! It will make you laugh and warm your heart all at the same time!! I would recommend this book to everyone!

Narration

I almost didn’t listen because I didn’t like the female’s voice. But after listening a while, she really grew on me. I love love love Stephen Dexter voicing a southerner. He does a great job. And the book is also good. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
