I loved every second of this book series with all the love and I'm tangled lives

Decent Fantasy Trilogy

I thought the story was decent, though it was a bit drawn out. Overall, I was engaged though rarely overly surprised by the plot points. The end does a good job of tying together all the different elements of the story and it is satisfying. I also liked that the plot was not spice driven, though the spice is certainly present. Books 1 & 2 are solid 4 stars, but with the end in consideration, I give the trilogy 5 for story. I did listen at 1.7 speed.

I mean, WOW, there is a lot to unpack in this one.

Political intrigue, huge, bloody, gory, battles against mindless beasts fueled by an immense evil, led by a vengeful seemingly immortal false king seeking to rule at the expense of his people. Power struggles between goddesses.

A, very slow burn, reverse harem relationship between a heroine who has visions of all 3 goddesses as they both help and hinder her progress, and 4 “fated mates”, not fully claimed.

Throw in ghostly visions of her female ancestors, other paranormal apparitions, mysterious crystal caves, powerful swords, and portals and buckle up, it gonna be a bumpy ride.

Such a deep connection to the characters

This series blew me away!

I went into it not knowing what to expect.

Book 1 was recommended to me through Audible App and is free. Gave it shot simply based on the cover of the first book, “With Fangs and Claws”.

I’m obsessed with these story line and character build. The worlds were easy to follow and very descriptive.

I would recommend this book to those who are looking for fantasy, romance, connection, friendship, and an out of this world feeling.

Great series…except…

It’s a fun story and great until the last 20 minutes. The ending just fell flat for me.

Good but I wish there was a prologue 😩

It had a good ending but it would have been great with a prologue. I felt some parts of the story was slow and then the final fight just flew by

Horrible ending

Completely unsatisfactory. No closure. More questions than answers. Logic was non existent and it felt like the pieces of the puzzle were all from different boxes! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

A little too much dialogue

I love Sam Hall’s books and I liked the story of this series but to be honest there was a little too much dialogue for me. The last 30 minutes or so is the best part of the book. Great performance by the narrator though with the different accents and I’m sure that’s not easy with so many.

Fell flat

So much potential! I LOVED books 1 and 2!! I could barely finish this one and skipped to the end. Don't know if it'll even be worth it to go on to book 4 😢.

The FMC had so much going for her in 1 and 2: She was decisive, stood her ground, there was no bratty inner monologuing as fantasy romance FMCs are prone to do (and is super annoying). Book 3 had such an anticlimactic meandering plot that all character development went out the window with it.

Each mate was an individual I was getting to know and routing for but not in book 3. I love me some epic fight scenes with war and battle and politics but give me romance too or what are we even doing here?

disappointing

Books 1 and 2 were great, but not book 3. The battles dragged on and on. It was very disappointing compared to the first 2 books in the series.
