Publisher's summary

A Warhammer Horror portmanteau.

Drawn together by mysterious circumstances, three strangers meet in the mists of a desolate cemetery world. As they relate their stories, the threads of fate are drawn around them, and destiny awaits....

Read it because: It's a classic horror portmanteau comprising three Warhammer 40,000 novellas, each with its own distinct feel - a ghost story, a monster saga and a psychological horror tale - that all draw together through the terrifying linking story.

The story: On a misty cemetery world, three strangers are drawn together through mysterious circumstances. Each of them has a tale to tell of a narrow escape from death. Amid the toll of funerary bells and the creep and click of mortuary-servitors, the truth is confessed. But whose story can be trusted? Whose recollection is warped, even unto themselves?

For these are strange stories of the uncanny, the irrational and the spine-chillingly frightening, where horrors abound and the dark depths of the human psyche is unearthed.

Good Story, Obvious Twist

Good horror tale with an old school twist ending. Especially enjoyed the third story in the set.

Warhammer 40k horror is great!

I loved this audiobook.
near the end I started to understand what was coming but it was still a blast all the way through.

great story!

full recommend this for some really good 40k stories that are different from the normal wars stories told in the books. the ending is predictable but doesn't ruin the stories told in the least!

slow starts

3 stories told from 3 people. The character building and scene setting is tied into the course of the dialogue giving the stories very detailed environments, that don't always have any purpose other than to convey dreary world 40k is. the stories so ramp up in their own right.

Amazing!

One of the best 40K stories written and performed! I can't wait for the future of this genre of Grimdark Horror!

3 great stories

3 amazing short stories that all come together. the ending was a bit easy to see coming but was still great. It's hard to make the 40k universe more horrifying then it already is, but it definitely worked. look forward to more.

worth the listen

good story, i only gave it 4 instead of 5 stars because the sound levels can be distracting between whispers amd screaming.

Great

Great stories, great performance.
Could imagine it would be hard writing a horror story in a universe that is already so horrible, but they managed it well.
Especially the last story!

first two stories are wonderful

I like a little dark in my #grimdark. this is a great start to the warhammer horror. it often felt a bit theater of the absurd, in a great Camus inspired way. strongly recommend.
