This book has some of the richest storytelling I’ve ever experienced. 5/5 have read 5 times.

The pacing

Brent wheat does it again he’s such a great author. Everett several of his books and they’re so good.

Weeks does it again.

I couldn’t put this one down. I stayed up late and woke early for extra time to finish this one.

Great plot, depth of character, perfectly read.

Loved this book despite the heart wrenching moments. And there are enough positive moments to maintain hope and soften the tragedies. The multitude of characters can be a little hard to follow but the author does his best to tag them enough to keep it flowing and not too confusing. Love this book.

This book haunts me

Probably one of the best written books I’ve ever read. The writing is truly incredible. However, because of that, the scenes of torture and of child rape depicted in this book have haunted me many many weeks after finishing this book and I suspect maybe for much, much longer. I couldn’t go on in the series for the same reason I stopped watching Game of Thrones. No matter how good it is, the inhumanity depicted so brutally left horrible images in my mind. So I really can’t recommend this book even though it might be one of the best things I’ve ever read. It’s equally that terrible too.

Nice combo of light/dark

Plenty of cheesy moments, but has dark parts too. Plot is layered, characters have depth. Simon Vance, as usual, does an absolutely amazing job.

Read this years ago...audio was an even better experience.

Teriffic character development and immersive world. Author's descriptions leaves you feeling like you are there experiencing the action yourself.

The writing is like watching a movie

I've read these books years ago, before the lightbringer series had started. They are just as good now, as they were then. Can't wait to listen to the rest!
