The reader is terrrible

It was very hard to keep up with who was talking. She didn’t change her voice much for different characters. I’m not even sure what happened with one character because it was hard to follow. I’ll have to listen again I guess.

Fast Paced Suspense

Annalise Baker is staring a new life after her unexpected divorce. Moving to a new town and starting a new job in the Smokey Mountains, she is quickly drawn into the search for a missing woman.

Her longtime friend, Zach Lebow, is starting to have unfamiliar feelings for Annalise and he's not sure what to make of it. Soon, the two partners are being chased by the drug cartel that destroyed Annalise's home and killed her best friend.

Zach also has to deal with his father's unwanted reappearance into his life. After more than 10 years without a word, Zach isn't sure that he can forgive him for his desertion. As the story progresses, all of the characters reach an inevitable interaction that could possibly leave them severely injured or worse.

The book moved at a fast pace and the characters were likeable and relatable. Some of the events seemed a little contrived, but all in all, this was an enjoyable read. I liked the fact that the author has the characters dealing with their emotions with God's help, which is refreshing in most books in this genre.

The narrator did a good job, but the audio was a little noisy at times. I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher/narrator and chose to review it.

Fantastic Listen

Listening to Savana Johnson voice as she read this story was exciting. She made the story sound like it was fantastic. She had the right tone and made me want to come back to hear more. I have also read the book and Savana Johnson did the characters justice.
Sara L. Foust did a wonderful job in writing this story. I have never been disappointed in any of her books or audios.
