Publisher's summary

A lonely football player, a damaged bride, and the fake marriage that can heal them both.

Hailey Knight has two choices: fall prey to a predator who is out to own her and destroy her football team or marry a man she’s just met. True, her fake husband can make her quiver with a touch, gets her jokes, and is patience personified, but she knows better than anyone how quickly charm can turn ugly.

Brady Giles has dealt with a sweetheart stalker for two years and has no hope of shaking the annoyance. He steps in to rescue the beautiful and feisty Hailey Knight from a leering idiot and somehow ends up engaged to her.

The marriage is supposed to help them both out of sticky situations but instead turns into a media hailstorm with lies and attacks coming from all sides. When Hailey falls in love with her fake husband and danger lurks around every corner, she knows it’s time to run, but Brady has never given up on an impossible battle. Can these two trust each other or will the media and predators tear them apart?

Good

And sweet if a little predictable and unbelievable, but it’s a to,ANC’s so that’s what I’m looking for most of the time. This one is a good what I call beach listen something you don’t have to think to much about. Narration is good.

Oh the lead female!!

The story is good. However, the lead female character is borderline whiny and bratty, but not all at the same time. She had a traumatic experience in the past and continuously says, and I do mean continuously, I dont date football players. Over and over and over. So much so that I almost turned the book off.

Good overall

The story was good, but the moment that affected her future wasn't quite the degree that would have caused night terrors. Anyway, the repetitive fear and especially repetitive dialog was a bit much. The male character was great.

Loved this book.

The only downside for me is missing a male narrator but otherwise, a sweet light romance.

My new favorite author!

A good, clean romantic story. I do so appreciate that there is NO foul language in Cami Checketts books.

Trustworthy Groom

I liked this book but not as much as the first one it was a shorter read. The performance was good I felt like the story line could have been longer many with more intrigue.

Great performance by the narrator, The voices for both male and female actors were very comfortable and believable.

Loved almost everything!

I loved the characters and the pace. But it bugs me when a grown woman calls her father, "Daddy".
