Publisher's Summary

A lonely football player, a damaged bride, and the fake marriage that can heal them both.

Hailey Knight has two choices: fall prey to a predator who is out to own her and destroy her football team or marry a man she’s just met. True, her fake husband can make her quiver with a touch, gets her jokes, and is patience personified, but she knows better than anyone how quickly charm can turn ugly.

Brady Giles has dealt with a sweetheart stalker for two years and has no hope of shaking the annoyance. He steps in to rescue the beautiful and feisty Hailey Knight from a leering idiot and somehow ends up engaged to her.

The marriage is supposed to help them both out of sticky situations but instead turns into a media hailstorm with lies and attacks coming from all sides. When Hailey falls in love with her fake husband and danger lurks around every corner, she knows it’s time to run, but Brady has never given up on an impossible battle. Can these two trust each other or will the media and predators tear them apart?

Do Not Waste Your Time

The premise had potential but with a horrible narrator and a story that was so “clean” they brought “snacks” to a pool party. It was a big zero. The author kept referring to the main character’s father as daddy (so annoying) and with no sex scenes it had absolutely no depth to it, especially when the female lead had an.. issue. Seriously, there are way better stories out there. This one was a loser.

Good story

This was a good listen, but I could have done without all the references to the word "football player ".

Misogynistic much??? Terrible message for young women!

This themes in this book are backward and a terrible, unhealthy message for both young women and young men. A supposed modern, independent woman is a trainer for an NFL team. However, in the first chapter she allows herself to be railroaded into an arranged marriage of convenience because that is the “only way” to thwart the aggressive sexual advances and harassment of a man in a position of power over her. Did I mention her powerful Daddy with unlimited money d legal resources came up and endorses this plan???

It is likewise the only way to stop a dangerous female stalker threatening and harassing the would be groom. This is ridiculous and further deters victims of abuse from reporting the abuser. To make matters worse, it affirms that a sexual abuse victim obviously struggling with PTSD doesn’t need therapy—just a really patient man to rescue her. Combine that with the constant “my Daddy” references of the protagonist and you have this HORRIBLE, OFFENSIVE excuse for a romance novel.

The author and publisher should be ashamed! It’s nauseating.

Trustworthy Groom

I liked this book but not as much as the first one it was a shorter read. The performance was good I felt like the story line could have been longer many with more intrigue.

Not an Athletic Trainer

If you are going to write about a profession, you should know what it is first! Athletic trainers are healthcare providers not personal trainers. Look it up.

A Short, Luke-Warm Romance

No real high expectations for a 4 hour audiobook. I had some time to kill and hadn't read this author before. It definitely is one and done for me.
