The ancient magic of wizards was anything but dark. It was the enlightenment that lifted humanity from the squalor of superstition, and the worship of fell spirits and capricious gods, but those days are gone. The shining glory of the sorcerers burned away the subtlety of wisdom, replacing it with easy power, held only in the hands of the elite - a new age built upon the elemental supremacy of aristocrats and the ignorance of the masses.

Long and enjoyable
This volume includes the last three volumes of The Sorcerer's Saga.
Book four involves Ayden being able to convince enough of the Sjau to work together to defeat his mother who is in league with their enemy and is helping to bring about the return of the dark star.
Book five defines the life of a young prince who tries to run away only to become lost and trapped. Ayden is kidnapped because he looks exactly like the prince and then he has to go on a journey to find the prince and return him to his kingdom.
Book six involves the discovery that even though they averted the dark star they still have enemies and Ayden and his rival must learn to get along in order to save the dragons and make their worlds safe.
The narration in this book was exceptional as I have come to expect of J. Scott Bennett. The story line was tight and always went where you least expected it to lead.
This book was provided free of charge with the expectation of an honest review.

Magical Good Vs Evil Adventure
The adventure continues to this set of books 4-6, which adds up to 32.5 hours of fantasy, magic and adventure. This is definitely geared towards middle school age readers but adults will enjoy it too. My 14 year old son loved this series and it was fun to hear him chuckle as he was listening on his headphones. It's a really clean book with out bad language or heavy romance scenes... There is some mild romance with kissing but on a PG level. Overall it's a lot of fun for those kids addicted to the fantasy/magical genre. The last book leaves the story open for more in the series without leaving off on a huge cliff hanger.
The narrator does a wonderful job and made the story even more fun to listen to.

Fun series, feels like a classic
This was a fun series, and I enjoyed the last three books of the series (all three of which are contained in this volume) better than the first three. There were many clever ideas explored here, and also some interesting dialog. I really enjoyed the listen. My only complaint with this is that it might be just a little too long. By the end, it began to feel like even the author grew a little tired of the quest-saga genre, but then it was fun to watch him have some fun with it, too.
I picture this mostly as a young adult book, but fun for adults as well.
The narrator was great, giving many great voices to all of the interesting characters that appear throughout the book.
I was given a free copy of this book with no strings attached, although I was told it would be nice to leave a review. I enjoyed it enough to leave this, even though it was not a requirement.
