Publisher's summary

This book presents the research and evidence behind emotional freedom technique in an easy-to-understand manner and also offers client stories of their experiences. Emotional freedom technique (EFT or tapping) is a growing field in the self-help area, but only in the last decade has it become the focus of clinical and scientific trials to test its effectiveness. This book offers the missing piece of this self-applied stress management tool: how and why it works. The Science Behind Tapping takes the mounting science and the research behind EFT (emotional freedom technique) and unpacks it in a compelling but simple, straightforward way for the average listener. Dr. Peta Stapleton, PhD, Australia's main EFT researcher, shares remarkable case studies and evidence for how tapping can treat a host of issues, including PTSD, stress and anxiety, depression, food cravings and weight issues, issues with children and adolescents, and more! No other book exists that explains why and how tapping works, and Dr. Peta Stapleton is uniquely poised to present the published research and teaching expertise to form this book.

Informing and Inspiring

Lots of great detailed information on clinical trials on EFT, interspersed with inspirational anecdotal stories, along with FAQs on EFT and tips on how to get the most out of it and avoid any misconceptions and pitfalls.

very informative

the science data about the trials validity almost takes over. This is a great resource if i was writing a paper. for the average person wanting to learn a little more about EFT, beyond "it works", this book may be too academic. all said, i am glad i listened and glad to know there is evidence for this habit

Well worth it.

This book is very good. There is loads of detail about studies and clinical trials conducted but as someone who just wanted to learn more about tapping I found it very helpful.
