K-9 search-and-rescue worker Bree Nicholls sets out in the untamed beauty of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to unravel the secrets of an enchanting wilderness in the Rock Harbor Mysteries: Without a Trace, Beyond a Doubt, Into the Deep, and Cry in the Night—now available as a 4-in-1 audiobook!

“Coble is a great writer . . . She knows what readers want and she does not disappoint.” —Romantic Times

Without a Trace

When a plane crash claims her husband and son, Bree Nichols and her search-and-rescue dog won't rest until they recover the bodies. But when quiet Rock Harbor is shaken by a violent crime, Bree discovers links to her husband's fatal accident. Would solving this crime bring her peace—or more incredibly, reunite her family?

Beyond a Doubt

Evidence of a violent crime in Bree’s basement causes police to re-open a cold case. Can she and her search dog, Samson, stop the killer before he strikes again? It will take everything Bree and Samson can do to protect her family from the danger lurking outside the lighthouse door.

Into the Deep

Bree Nicholls is close to solving a case, and someone is willing to commit murder to disrupt her investigation. When Bree’s dog Samson goes missing, it’s just the beginning of her life turning upside-down. Park Ranger Kade Matthews steps in with his expert knowledge of the deep woods. Together, he and Bree must track down the killer—and find Samson before it’s too late.

Cry in the Night

Bree and Samson discover a crying infant in the snowy Rock Harbor forest. But where are the baby’s parents? And how did she get there? Bree takes the baby girl in and begins to search for the mother—presumably the woman reported missing just days earlier. While teams scour the wintery forests, Bree ferrets out clues about the woman. Where is she and why did she leave the child behind? And how does that connect to Bree’s first husband’s mysterious death years ago in the Upper Peninsula? Everything Bree thought she knew about her life changes with the sound of a cry in the night.

Struggle to stay interested. Concluding story worked by keeping everyone active. The value was ok

Last Story worked, first and third stories bad.

felt very preachy …there is so much scripture and evangelism that it distracts from the story. couldn’t get through it.

preachy

I LOVE all of Colleen Coble's books and Devon O'Day is THE BEST NARRATOR! I always know which character is speaking. Great series too, you NEVER know who the bad guy is until the end. And the last book? WHOA! Didn't see that coming... AMAZING! THANK YOU LADIES!

Great Story with an AMAZING Narrator!

Well written mysteries that held my attention throughout. Just be prepared for some sermonizing if that matches your beliefs or you can get past it they're good stories.

Definitely held my interest

I found every single story fantastic. I think we all wanted a dog like Sampson.
I know some had said they did not care for the religious content, but I found it refreshing. Everyone’s entitled to their own opinions and wanted to share mine.
The narration was spot on, she did a fantastic job. I also really enjoyed the closeness of the family
I do hope there’s more in this series because I will definitely continue to listen

Absolutely loved the collection

Touches on serious topics and the evil of greed and deceit. A heartfelt love story of faith and dedication to keep everyone safe and happy. Enjoy the action of the dogs.

Suspense in the unexpected

I love stories that feature our K-9 friends, so I was really looking forward to this one. However, I was surprised to find that God was a main character in the story, which turned me off. I won’t be continuing with the rest of the series.

Not a fan!

I like to read / listen to a wide variety of books. These stories were very good. I couldn't stop listening. I say the series is refreshing because I find that in some of the other stories, the love scenes are very vivid and drawn out. That's okay sometimes, but sometimes I don't want to hear all that. This was a fresh break from that. There is one thing I was disappointed with though... SPOILER ALERT ---
I didn't like that in the final story, the husband, Rob, was suddenly not dead and was portrayed as a corrupt / crooked person, after being proven to be a good man in previous stories. Where did that come from? Overall I enjoyed the series (a lot), but just wish Rob's character didn't have to be brought back to life and portrayed the way he was.

Suspenseful & Refreshing
