A layered story
It took me a bit to get into the story, but once I did, the twists never stopped. This one has complication after complication and kept me speculating until the end. The egg and surprise added interesting historical tidbits to the story as did the dual lost families. Narrator did well with all the various accents.

Fragile design.
I have loved Colleen Coble since I found a book written by her at a book store that was marked down. Now I would buy any book with her name on it. This book was the best book I’ve listened to in a long time. Thank you C Coble you are great. Wish you could write faster.

A wonderful suspenseful mystery!
Colleen Coble is one of my favorite authors! She paints a picture in my mind so realistic I can believe I am there! I love the history behind the plot and the individuality of the characters. I especially liked how she weaves the heroine’s faith and the thread of how she trusts God in every part of her life. A wonderful suspenseful mystery!

If you can suspend your common sense, you may love it!
The story is exciting but unbelievable because these characters have zero common sense and yet seem to come out on top. Who does not know what a Faberge Egg is…especially someone in law enforcement!? An entertaining story with a satisfying end…but wow! Not sure I’ll brave another by this author‼️

The kindness Carly gave to her friends and family.
I felt Coleen Cobble did amazing job keeping me so involved from the beginning to the end of the story. The story line with the family history of the twin sisters and their secret of the treasured egg was amazing and
