It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Photographer Isla Wilson is thrilled she's landed her dream job, but the clients who hired her are getting stranger by the day. It sounded so perfect—a month's assignment at the lush Scottish Highlands property of architect Alban McGregor, and his wife, Jessica. But in the woods, there's a playhouse with a chilling history. Two years ago, the McGregors' daughter Elodie was abducted and then died in that playhouse. The townspeople insist her abductor had to be a stranger in their town. Sorry but this one is mediocre
The writing leaves something to be desired. The reader tried hard to make people sound different but could have done better.
One pet peeve I had was his pronunciation of “gaol” as gay-lol rather than jail (Americanized).
Amusing and pleasant.

Poor and competing audio
With additional sounds and voices very loud and very quiet in some of the stories was quite difficult to listen to in a car and a quiet place. A few on the non-canonical stories were a bit weak. Sometimes wondered which character I was listening to as voice differences of multiple characters by one person weren’t all distinguishable at times.

Superb Dramatisation
I love every second of this fantastic Dramatisation of mostly classic stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, such as The Adventure of the Six Napoleons, and a few newly composed Holmes pastiches, including The Case of the Clever Cat Burglar. The best story is an original entitled The Problem of Panteloni's Understudy. Rich with environment via clever sound effects and superior acting, I highly recommend this title.
