Publisher's Summary

A sickness has come to the village of Hamelin. Born on the backs of rats, a plague begins to spread. As the town rips itself apart, a stranger appears to offer them salvation. But when the citizens of the town fail to hold up their end of the bargain, the stranger returns and exacts a toll that is still spoken of to this day. That toll? The town's entire population of children. This is the legend of the Pied Piper. It is no fairy tale. It is a nightmare. Are you prepared to hear his song?

Great Story

I was hesitant at first. I thought it would be the same old piper story. I WAS WRONG. Jacy Morris is an awesome author and I have now read 3 of his books and all 3 have been well worth it.

Something old, something new ....

This is the second audiobook by Jacy Morris to which I have had the pleasure of listening.
It's base story is the pied Piper fable of your youth, but told by a guy that really knows how to spin a horror tale.
There have been many books and movies with rodent protagonists and some of them are great...who doesn't hate rats, who isn't terrified by an infestation of them....now you get to see how Jacy Morris takes that to a whole new level.
Being a very vivid writer, who's prose has a great cinematic quality, his descriptive ability helps the narrator set the scenes very well.
A great narrator telling a great story...what's not to like?
