Great narration.

I really liked the narrator. His voice is perfect for the material. I highly recommend!

pitch perfect

Easy listening. well produced. The narrator is amazing. does not have chapter reference for each book of the Bible

No Organization

The performance is impeccable and the story - well it IS the Bible :) - This is a very good production. However, there is zero organization in the chapter headings. All it states is Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and so on. If I want to listen to Acts Chapter 3 - there is no way for me to drill TO Acts Chapter 3 without some sort of cheat sheet which I am not able to find at all. I might have to find another production for this purpose of wanting to listen to specific books at certain times.

He reads the bible with a passion. Other audio books of the bible sound like they are reading the bible as fast as they can. This reader puts in the emotion that should be there. Even in the letters!

Excellent Narration!!

Excellent narration!! The narration was right on track, in no way annoying like so many, and not exaggeratedly dramatic, but as dramatic as needed. I want to listen to all of Marquis Laughlin’s narrations!

Performance is too exagerated

I couldn't listen to Maquis Laughlin for very long. For me, when Christ performed a miracle Laughlin used a voice that sounded a little bit too amazed. (I admit to being pretty conservative about the Biblical. It bothers me to see a bible on the floor instead of on a bookshelf. My uptightness might not be typical.) I can imagine that for some listeners Laughlin's performance could bring about a miraculous conversion to Christianity and be exactly the message they need to hear!
