Publisher's Summary

Fresh, funny, and fearless, The Middle Finger Project is a point-by-point primer on how to get unstuck, slay imposter syndrome, trust in your own worth and ability, and become a strong, capable, wonderful, weird, brilliant, ballsy, unf--kwithable you.

"Don't worry, this isn't a book about God, nor is it a book about Ryan Gosling (second in command). But it is a book about authority and becoming your own." (Ash Ambirge)

After a string of dead-end jobs and a death in the family, Ash Ambirge was down to her last $26 and sleeping in a Kmart parking lot when she faced the truth: No one was coming to her rescue. It was up to her to appoint herself. That night led to what eventually became a six-figure freelance career as a sought-after marketing and copywriting consultant, all while sipping coffee from her front porch in Costa Rica.

She then launched the Middle Finger Project, a blog and online course hub, which has provided tens of thousands of young "women who disobey" with the tools and mindset to give everyone else's expectations the finger and get on your own path to happiness, wealth, independence, and adventure.

In her first audiobook, Ash draws on her unconventional personal story to offer a fun, bracing, and occasionally potty-mouthed manifesto for the transformative power of radical self-reliance. Employing the signature wit and wordsmithing she's used to build an avid following, she offers paradigm-shifting advice along the lines of:

  • The best feeling in the world is knowing who you are and what you're capable of doing.
  • Life circumstances are not life sentences. If a Scranton girl who grew up in a trailer park can make it, so can you.
  • What you believe about yourself will either murder your chances or save your life. So why not believe something good?
  • You don't need a high-ranking job title to be authorized to contribute. You just need to contribute.
  • Be your own authority. Authority only works as long as you trust that someone smarter than you is making the rules.
  • The way you become a force is by being the most radically real version of yourself that you can be.
  • You only have 12 f--ks a day to give, so use them wisely.

Mindblowingly relatable and tragically honest

ASH is a GODDESS. I loved this book so much and I will absolutely have these words in my head for years to come. "NEVER STOP FOLLOWING YOUR MOST DANGEROUS IDEAS." I hope to be lucky enough to connect with this Author someday. Her words have given me the motivation and comfort I have needed all 29 years of my life, after growing up in poverty and abuse much as she did. This is a highly recommended book for the WOMAN who feels STUCK by her own insecurities, fears, doubts, and all the "you'll never do that" sneers she ever heard. PLEASE GET THIS BOOK. You will not be sorry. And you will for sure not want to stop listening.

Buy it❗️

Drop everything and read this book ‼️⠀

But really DO IT‼️⠀

Ash is me, she is in my head, my thoughts and my heart❣️(with less vodka)⠀

Is is a book for women on the verge of a pivot to entrepreneurship, hate your fucking 9 to 5, wondering how to defer student loans one more time and on a verge of a breakdown❗️⠀

I literally finished this book, could NOT turn it off. Just couldn’t. ⠀

Ahhhh seriously refreshing. I felt like I was talking, like Ash was in my head, heart and brain. ⠀

This is only the 2nd book in years - that could not turn off. ⠀

This solidified my mission, my path, and my course.⠀
Although I know I was - BUT now I feel more confident.⠀

There are practical lessons & ideas, funny ones, emotional ones, harsh ones and all the real talk you need. ⠀

All mixed in with a perfect amount of F bombs 💣 ⠀

Ahhhh didn’t want this book to end - like your favorite movie. ⠀

Has nothing to do with imposter syndrome

This is a story about Ash trying to 'Ra Ra's you into starting your own business. For those actually suffering from imposter syndrome, try 'Ditching Imposter Syndrome'. I'm sorry Ash, but your style of narration is over the top and way too Woohoo this and RaRa that. Might work on insecure or shy teens or early twenty-somethings that just got into the work force for a few years.

Stop whatever you’re doing, BUY THIS BOOK NOW, then immediately put your earbuds in and listen!

As women, we are trained to sit still and look pretty. Be grateful. Don’t rock the boat.

And it makes us beyond miserable, complacent, and hating our life. But what other choice is there?

Ash Ambirge shows you that you not ONLY have a choice, but you have the whole book of matches to light it all on fire and rise from the ashes like a phoenix goddess!

I’ve listened to Chapter 19, and I actually HIGHLIGHTED pieces in the physical book to correlate with all the clips I saved from Audible. Little sticky tabs and all. I don’t do that! I’ve NEVER done that! Not even text books in college. Defacing a book is the biggest sin to me!

But The Middle Finger Project AND Ash Ambirge is a text book for life! No, a guidebook. One that should be opened and read so much the binding falls apart. With written side notes, sticky tabs, marked pages and then passed from friend to friend like the traveling pants.

But be warned: after reading you may walk away from your mundane, pumpkin-spice, cubical life like the joker walking away from the exploding hospital with your nose in this book, and your finger in the air.

And guess what, it will absolutely be the best thing you've ever done for yourself.

Ash’s unique and powerful voice will forever be embedded in my brain, telling me that I AM good enough, my ideas DO matter, and the only limits that exist in my life are ones I impose on myself. Thank you Ash for sharing your riveting story, and weaving in game-changing lessons along the way. This book is one-of-a-kind, and if you want to succeed in business and life, read it. Extremely Refreshing and Funny

The audiobook is the absolute best medium to consume this content. The author Ash Ambirge shines through with her enthusiastic spirit as she provides a necessary kick forward to everyone who is still dragging their feet on their way to claim their place in the world. The target audience is definitely women, but I believe that the message itself is universal and timeless. A great book to read at the beginning of this year 2022.

Motivating and funny

Although there isn’t much practical advice I did enjoy the personal stories from the author. I also felt like there was a lot of great motivation to get off ones ass and pursue your dreams. The humour and wit made it a fun listen After a while the voice of the author and her pace of speaking, Fast then slow then fast and slow was a bit annoying. Overall I thought it was a great read, next time I’ll read it in print though.
