Like getting the scoop from a trusted older colleague

Dr. Wilner gives a wonderful description of locum tenens, the good, bad, and ugly. While advantages and pros are evident, he does not gloss over the downside of bureaucratic hassles. He delivers the information with a refreshing sense of humor. Much appreciated insightful work, highly recommended

MUST READ IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT DOING LOCUMS!

I was recommended this book by my CPA. I am currently a full-time general dentist getting ready to join "The Locum Life." I've met several dentists that recommended this work lifestyle to me, and this was a great read as I get ready to make the transition. Although the book is tailored towards physicians, I learned a lot of tips about taxes, organization, pros/cons of using a staffing agency, pros/cons of the locum life, and much more. I even listened to the book twice! It was even better as I did some homework on some of the topics mentioned. I've already applied a few tips I've learned in the book to my everyday practice.

I'd recommend this book to anyone considering locum tenens or any doctor out there that might be feeling 'burnt out' from your normal full time job. This book might just have all the answers you need! Even if you're a season locum lifer, you might want to read this book and see what new knowledge nuggets it has to offer.
