Nice, light, no angst MM romance

Nice for when you need a break from heavier/angstier stories. Very enjoyable, in my opinion

The guy next door and the retired hockey player. A growing friendship that turns into so much more. The narration is absolutely perfect. Time Paige and Liam DiCosimo did a wonderful job with bringing this story to life. A beautiful story. This is a great series. 👏❤🔥

Lucas is a sweetie

This book made mercy as it held some really powerful topics. Like starting a relationship after the loss of a spouse and how to blend the new relationship into the family. How it’s okay to move on and still love your In laws even after grieving. But what really tied this story together is the six almost seven year old Lucas as he was the bridge between the mcs

Ben and Jeremiah!

I absolutely loved everything about this book from beginning to end. It was hilarious and captured my attention from the very beginning. Ben and Jeremiah were perfect for each other.

This book is ridiculously cute—in the best way.

One of those reads where you catch yourself grinning like a loon at your Kindle the entire time. Ben and Jeremiah are absolutely adorable together—just what each other needed. If you’re looking for a low-drama, all-the-feels hockey romance with the perfect dash of smut, this is it. The audiobook is also really well done—highly recommend listening if that’s your thing.

The Legend Next Door by Jesse H. Reign

Jesse, you’ve done it again. Another stunning story filled with heart, healing, and unforgettable characters. This book had me laughing out loud one moment and on the verge of tears the next. It’s beautifully balanced, blending light and joy with grief and vulnerability. There is loss here, not just felt by one of the main characters, but subtly echoed in his son as well. Yet, Jesse writes it all with such tenderness. Her words bring to life a world where the colors are vivid and vibrant, yet soft and muted all at once. I was completely immersed.

Ben Sterling. What a legend in his own right. Successful, admired, but not immune to tragedy. The loss he suffers is heart wrenching, and it ripples through his life and his son’s. But through that pain, Ben learns something deeply profound, tomorrow isn’t promised. His journey gutted me, but I adored the inclusion of the journal, so intimate, raw, and real. It made Ben feel incredibly human. His reluctant trust in signs, even the ones he hated (yes, that stubborn tile over the stove!), was oddly beautiful. I loved how he built a home, not just for his son, but for himself, a home full of love, family, and the possibility of a new beginning.

And Jeremiah... oh, Jeremiah. What a luminous soul. From the first page, I adored him. He radiates warmth, and it shines through every scene he’s in. His relationship with Ben? Raw, powerful, electric. Their chemistry sizzled, and their shared moments? OMG, so hot! I cried with Jeremiah on his birthday, and my heart swelled watching him navigate love, fear, and hope. Their journey was not easy, but the happy ending? Absolutely earned. I’m already hoping we get to see more of Ben, Jeremiah, and Ben’s son in the next book.

This story is so much more than a romance. It’s a reminder, a beautiful, soul deep reminder, that we cannot take tomorrow for granted. I'm so grateful Jesse gave Ben a second chance at love, even when he thought it was impossible. It made me want to embrace today, to see the beauty in the now.

Jesse, thank you for this gift of a book. I’ll never be over it.

A top 5 audible this year!

I loved Ant and Robbie in Poetry on Ice (another in my top 5) and now I love Ben & Jeremiah.

Love the story, the characters and the narrators. This book made me “feel everything”.

I recommend the listen and highly recommend the previous book Poetry on Ice.

I love these two narrators together and they did a great job bringing Ben and Jelly to life 🥹

Liam & Tim are killing it!

Liam DiCosimo & Tim Page did an excellent job voicing Ben & Jeremiah’s story. They captured all the character voices without being over the top and their pacing & tone were spot on. I want to especially give them kudos for voicing Luca. Kid voices can be really cringe if not done right but the both gave Luca a cute 6 year old personality without being overly saccharine. I love this story and it is worth a listen!
