Good story and good narration, but I found the sound effects to be a bit jarring. I get that they're meant for dramatic effect but I found that unwelcome whilst listening in the car.

Suspense from the start had me hooked. Truly worth reading and will read more of his work.

While the story and performance are good, the audio is plagued with unnecessary and erroneous stock sound effects for tone throughout the body of the piece. It breaks the show over tell rule of story telling for me. I also noticed a few sentences that were left out of the audio from my physical text.

The genre of fantasy/horror begins with the unbelievable H.P. Lovecraft. It all starts with him! Unbeatable nightmares can start with any of his stories.
