big fan of max

im a big fan of max and his work. the book is great but the audio version has glitches, namely around the middle of chapter 2 at the 19 minute part after the discussion on IF. quality control from his publisher and ACX should of caught this.

Brilliant! Buying the hard copy

Thank you for such a thorough and concise collection of critically important information!
At 70 I am well and determined to stay well. Twenty-four years ago I became ill and was pretty much written off by doctors as crazy since they had no idea what was wrong. I refused to give up and doggedly sought answers. I was finally diagnosed in 1999 with mercury poisoning. Thanks to alternative and functional medicine I was able to overcome my health problems. Needless to say, I’ve taken it upon myself to continue to learn everything I can.

Changed my life

Thank you Max for writing two books that have changed my life. Follow the steps laid out in this book and notice profound changes in your health. If you are a health professional on any level the Genius books should be a must read. If like myself you are suffering from autoimmune issues do yourself a favor, read these books and take back your health.

Great and easy listen

I loved how easy he makes everything so anyone can understand and you don’t need much existing knowledge on biology or chemistry. I’d recommend this to anyone who wants to improve their life in any way!

Max Lugavere, highly recommended

I came across Max Lugavere a few years ago on The Rubin Report (thank you Dave). Since then, he is the person I trust most when it comes to healthy lifestyle and nutrition. I read his books Genius Foods and Genius Life, and I received Genius Kitchen a couple of days ago. Max has helped me find ways to improve my general health, keep my fibromyalgia at bay, get back in shape after childbirth, maintain a sustainable diet, and learn so much from extremely knowledgeable guests on his fantastic podcast. He is the one I go to because he is not a fanatic, not a guru, not a 'my way is the best' kind of person. I recommend his books and podcast to friends and family, and to all those who need sound and practical advise. Thank God for Max!

a good summary of healthy eating and lifestyle

if I had enough space, I'd write my title as "How do you recommend the paleo diet without saying the words "paleo diet"?"

this is a nice summary of some good diet and lifestyle tips, and most of them I have been following for 11 years, and I feel great. there was nothing new here for me, but a great starting point for someone looking to overall their health.

my main criticism would be his overuse of the words "linked" "correlated" or "associated". as in, most of the science he uses to back up his claims is based on epidemiological or observational studies. but then, often that is all we have to work with when talking about nutrition science.

it's also fairly short, but this isn't a bad thing, he just doesn't labour any points, just tells what you need to know and moves on.

This is for the author and publishers.

The US is in the minority on this planet of using Fahrenheit, pounds etc.

As book now a days are distributed worldwide, Celcius and Metric should be added after your measurements, for the majority that do use a sensible system.

Really annoying that most publishers disregard this.

Lost of star ratings for not doing so.

Max, slow it down mate... you talk way to fast.

A MUST read (or listen)

I’ve been listening to Max’s podcast for about a year and finally dived into this book. I like to listen to ebooks, as I can easily consume the information while walking, working out or cooking. What a magnif listen it was. I love the way Max has such a balanced outlook on how to live a healthy life.
