loved it!

It wasn't very realistic but I enjoyed every bit of it. didnt have high hopes but I fell in love from the beginning

It’s a great listen

Eve does it again. Another 5 star listen. In this one Eve shows her sarcastic funny side . Her stories are amazing and this is no different.
Right when you think the guy next door is just as normal as you and I you find out differently.
Calvin is the hero. He lives out in the suburbs where there is plenty of land. He’s an assassin who will do anything for the right money . He’s a realtor who is successful. There is one drawback. He has a sexy neighbour who he knows he can’t get to close
Lily is his neighbour who is divorced with a kid . Lilly has a problem with her ex and his outlook.
Does Calvin help Lilly with her problem

Campy, sexy spymance had me feeling Bruce Willis B movies like R.E.D., The Whole None Yards, and even the show Moonlighting (IYKYK). Who cares about realism when it’s so much fun?

Listen at 1.25x speed

The Narrator sounded pretty weird at first but when I listened at 1.25x speed she sounded fine. The story itself was cute and worth a listen.

Meh the heroine just wasn't for me

Please know that I love Eve Langlais I've read loads of her books but this one, I just didn't like the heroine even to the end. The hero I loved, I listened to the whole thing on Audible the person who voiced it was fantastic so it wasn't that, it was I just couldn't get behind the heroine, because of that this book was only so so for me the writing is great, the action was fun, sometimes you just can't like them all I guess.

Fantastic

Loved it! Easy to follow along with. Just the right amount of excitement and heated romance. I loved the narrator, excellent work.

I couldn’t get through it

I kept falling asleep and after the 5 time restarting from where I fell asleep, I gave up. It happens sometimes with some books🤷🏻‍♀️ I genuinely enjoy Langlais and think she has really fun stories but I couldn’t warm up to this one 😐

I love most of Eve's stuff. Her dialogue is ever improving.
This audible performance should be discounted. It was stilted and robotic all too often. there were strange hesitations. I am not sure what the author had to pay or if the performer is new, but it was not what I wanted, expected, or could even listen to for long.
lots of room for improvement.

A great action packed love story

Eve Langlais did another great job as a story teller. This story had ALOT of situation those people that survive domestic violence or being with an aggressive person that gaslights their victims & abuses their respect position in the community.. This story will make you cheer. Worth a credit.. yes

has a bit for all

I love this book I've listened to it several times already since getting it. it has a bit of something for all you have Lilly- the newly divorced single mom dealing with asshole ex husband , then you have calvin- the snarky assassin who falls for the single mother next door. Calvin is the type who never thought he would have a family til he meets the Lilly's daughter in his drive way and takes her home to give her mother a dressing down on watching her kid. then the fun begin between the two they start dancing around each other til calvin steps in front of Lilly to protect her from her douche ex hubby. and as they say it's all down hill from there with same action thrown it to keep it interesting
