One of the best audiobooks I've enjoyed this year!

Ivy wild wrote an incredible book and CJ Bloom and Joe Arden were spectacular bringing our two broken MC's, Lex and Carter to life. The pure emotion poured into their narration was outstanding. You could literally feel the pain of both MC's as they navigated their insane attraction to one another and the growing tension and feelings that were burning between them like a blazing inferno.

Carter and Lex crossed paths when they were both at somewhat of a crossroads in their lives. Their intense and insanely hot moment together was only ever supposed to be that, a moment. Neither of them ever could've imagined they'd cross paths again so soon, or what they'd come to mean to one another. They were a force to be reckoned with in business and pleasure.

They navigated the lies, deceit, and betrayal in Carter's business like it was their life's mission. Lex was a woman on a mission, and with her in his corner, there was no way Carter wasn't going to come out on top.

Hands down one of the best audiobooks I've listened to this year. Thank you to Ivy Wild and Blue Nose Audio for the opportunity to experience this audiobook in advance.

steamy & great narration

Lex & Carter meet at a bar and have a ONS. Next day Lex discovers she's been hired as Carter's Estate manager. They agree to keep things professional, but eventually become victims to forced proximity.

Narrated in duet. Joe Arden & CJ Bloom as narrators are perfection. Joe Arden had me sweating when he goes low, deep and vulnerable.

Delicious burn

I listened to the audiobook version of this story and I loved how well written it is. Lex and Carter is full of steam, romance, and healing. I loved how these two got together. Their chemistry is undeniable and their love for Alfa Romeos being part of their story was super cute. The story is so well written, delving into deeper topics like messed up family dynamics, betrayal (not by the main characters), expectations, drinking as a coping mechanism, and how both Lex and Carter were an instrumental part in each other's healing. Great pace, delicious burn that turns fiery hot, romance, and a really good plot are only a few of the thing that made this a great story. The narration by Joe Arden and CJ Bloom was exquisite and pure perfection.

Top tier narration

This audio is unbelievably amazing. There really is no one like Joe Arden for emotional portrayals, and this entire story is another example of this. He’s so insanely talented at evoking a plethora of emotions through his performance, and I couldn’t have loved this audio more. Add in CJ Bloom in duet, and this easily became one of the best audios of the year. These two are two of the best narrators out there, and they added so much humor, banter, and emotion to this wonderful story. Carter and Lex are amazing together, and I love how they fell in love. Lex is the perfect match to Carter, and their unconditional love was so pure. I love this story!

One night turns into everything 😍

They were supposed to be a one-off. Just a little heat, a little spark, and no strings. But the chemistry? Off. The. Charts. So naturally… they’re basically combusting every time they’re in the same room.

Ivy Wild served up a billionaire romance with slow-burn emotional payoff and a whole lot of 🔥. CJ Bloom + Joe Arden’s voices melted me. They bring all the tension, all the swoon, and so much feeling to every scene.

It’s angsty, sexy, and a little messy—in the best way. If you love that “we weren’t supposed to catch feelings but oops, we did” kind of energy… you’re gonna want this one in your ears ASAP.

Sexy and surprisingly deep!

I wasn't sure what to expect going into my first book by Ivy Wild, but I was pleasantly surprised. I am all for a spicy, angsty, emotional read, which this book delivers on, plus a dose of intrigue and scandal. Our story is set amongst the wealthy, with Carter being raised with the customary silver spoon in his mouth. Lex has struggled most of her life, but is making her own path when she takes a job managing Carter's family estate. The chemistry between these two is on FIRE, and it is well balanced with character development and a fast-paced plot.

Carter has spent his life seeking approval from his father, particularly since his mother died during childbirth. His father is emotionally absent, leaving Carter to do much of his growing up alone. The resulting man is distant, has to fight for scraps of affection, and is forced to rebuild his family's legacy.

Lex has never had things easy, and she's been made to work for what she has her entire life. When her hard-won career as a lawyer goes belly-up, she is in search of a new career. Enter Carter. Lex has spent her life keeping people at arms length, because she learned early on that she can't depend on anyone but herself. And yet...Carter begins to break down her walls.

The narrators are expertly cast for this book, and both CJ and Joe did an incredible job. CJ is great at showcasing Lex's vulnerable side, which is an integral part of her character. Something about her voice just clicks with characters who are a bit broken. Joe is a bit of a chameleon and takes on the characters that he voices so well, and Carter is no exception.

Great Review!

I went into this one thinking it was going to be like any other workpalce romance. Let’s just say I was wrong. I enjoyed Carter and Lex’s relationship. And how Lex didn’t let Carter’s hard demeanor scare her away. She was ready to put in the work for him and the company. Carter thinks he needs to save everything and not put himself first. Lex shows him he can have both.

Ivy gives us those yummy billionaire vibes along with twist and turns. The angst and banter are everything and more.

For the audio CJ Bloom and Joe Arden kill it as always. Their performances brought this story to life.

I loved this one! The Estate is a billionaire romance in a workplace setting. Alexandra checks in at a bed and breakfast. There she meets Carter. They are immediately attracted to eachother and have a one night stand. The following day when Alexandra goes to report to her new job as property manager for the estate she meets her new boss, who happens to be Carter. Tensions are high, but Carter can't stay away from Alexandra.

Ivy is a new to me author. Her writing style is a little different to what I'm used to. She has multiple povs in one chapter so it was a bit of a change for me, but has the story progressed it was easier to follow along. The characters were very interesting. Carter and Lex went through so much in their lives and careers. I didn't expect the twist. It shocked me and definitely added more tension and angst to the story. The ending was beautiful!

As for the audiobook narration, it's fantastic! Performed in duet by CJ Bloom and Joe Arden. These two were amazing as always. CJ captured Lex's personality so well. She exuded her confidence and drive. Joe captured Carter's charisma and exuded his desire for Lex. In the more tension filled scenes CJ and Joe bring out all the emotions and their character transitions were seamless. Each character had a distinct tone, which helped a lot with the multiple povs. Overall, I enjoyed it!
