Good second book.

Austin Rising did a great job. My only issue with this audio book is some of the fights feel like they take to long. That being stated was a good audio book, and I hope others enjoy it also.

Pronounce 'Shown'

Good god. It's like the writer learned a new word and very much over uses it, and the narrator doesn't know how to pronounce it. I don't remember this in the first book, but it's so jarring in this second book that it tears the listener out of the story. I'm very much not a grammar Nazi (or try not to be), but pronunciation of everyday words just breaks that wall for me.

Austin: Say "Show" Add and "n" to the end of it.

Show-n.

Show. n.

Shown.

Not "ShoRn." Not "ShAWRn." Its "Shown."

Better than the 1st

I like how we are finally getting more information on the voids and how the MC is finally starting to u derstand how he isn't as good a dungeon leader as he thinks and he's finally starting reflect on himself abit

Excellent addition to the series

Konrad Ryan wrote a captivating follow-on to the series. It had been awhile since I listened to Book 1 that the beginning of the story seemed vague to me (I listen to lots of books.) So, I decided to listen to the beginning of book 1 to bring me up to speed on the story. The thing is, while I did recall the previous book, I found myself listening to it all over again, just out of pure enjoyment. Book 2 was just as compelling and in several parts, even more so.

I still find the over-use of stat updates disappointing; along with sections where he recalls his past exploits to separate players but those a minor objections when compared to whole of the story. There is a feeling that the MC's role is that of a chosen one but the author does a good job of not making the character uninteresting in that role.

Also, ... fart armor?! heh

Austin Rising performance is excellent and makes the listening experience a pleasure.

Good boy grows up

Very well done especially the Void battles , I would take a little more time on crafting though
