Entertaining listen

This one started a little slow for me, but after a few chapters the creepiness set in. I thoroughly enjoyed this horrific tale. Han Hills did a fantastic job with the narration. I received a review copy at my request and voluntarily reviewed.

An entertaining ghost story

Enjoyed the story. Characters were believable. Plot was good. Narrator was excellent. I enjoyed the short story that followed by Raven Blackwood and can't wait to read her book. I hope it will be an audible.

Meh.

It checks all the boxes to be a very basic haunted house story. Not a bad story, but not surprising either.

Ok October listen

On the hunt for scary listens in the run up to Halloween. The Demoinic was ok. Cheers to the author for inclusive characters though!

Gripping from start to finish!

Loved the story, characters and narration. Couldn't stop listen! A for sure must read! Awesome book.

refreshingly terrifying!!!!

Danni Morgan has returned to her childhood home where her mother left her and her father tortured and molested her.  Returning to bury her hated father, Danni brings her supportive husband and two children to her father’s funeral.  There she encounters a demonic evil so great and consuming that no one is safe from its touch.  No one and her life is about to change yet once again as she faces the demonic evil head on.

I expected this to be scary but the level of horror this audiobook induced is by far greater than any I have heard.  I couldn’t put it down!  It was refreshingly terrifying!!!!  If you enjoy horror – this is the book for you!

Lee Mountford built the suspense, horror and mind-numbing terror expertly.  When listening to the book and one begins to catch glimpses out of the corner of one's eye of something moving but nothing there … you know it’s truly a work of art!

Hannibal Hills performed the voices with skill.  His performance left one shuddering to one’s core when the demonic evil spoke.   He was spectacular!  His talent carried the terror beyond the pages and gave them a voice.

Superb Intro to Audiobooks!

I was uncertain about making the switch from music to an audiobook during work, but I am so glad I chose this as my first! It was beautifully narrated, or perhaps this is just my love for accents, and the story had me hooked within just a few minutes—with a bit of help from the teaser, of course! Every chapter left on a cliffhanger making it difficult to attend meetings during the day; however, you’ll not see me upset over that point.

Woah! I didn't see that coming!

This book surprised me! While it sounded entertaining, I didn't expect to be so consumed in the story. I was stunned by the ending and honestly, I don't recall the last time an ending stunned me.
The narrator, Han Hills was superb! Seriously, he did the demonic voice and that first time, it actually scared me! Again, totally stunned! If you like paranormal with some horror and a bit of gore this is a great book. Most horror books go a bit cheesy but this one didn't. It creeped me out! Good job!!

A Proper Horror Story

This is the horror I signed up for!

A woman with a broken past has no idea how deep the rifts go when she returns with her family to bury an estranged father and settle the affairs of her childhood home. The family is quickly set upon by wicked ghosts and a vile demon bent on destroying them from the inside out.

Angry ghosts, demonic possessions, an ancient evil, and a haunted house with a terrible history. This tale is filled with nail biting twists and turns around every bend!

I highly recommend giving this book a read!

Frightful Tale - Great Book

This is the third book I have listened to from Lee Mountford (I only see three books released from him at this time) and cannot wait for the next book to be released from the author. This is a frightful tale about a woman returning to her child hood home with her family, with dark memories. I will not go into spoilers but the story was great and at the end of the book the author mentions that some of the information that inspired the writing was from events that are rumored to have taken place in his home town. If you like scary tales, about demonic possession and the supernatural (not as gory as the previous books I have listened to from the author), you will love this book!
